A 75-year-old Asian woman was socked in the face and left with a broken nose in Queens early Thursday, police sources said.

The elderly victim was walking on 57th Avenue near 97th Place in Corona at 3 a.m. when a man suddenly slugged her, the sources said.

She was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center with a broken nose and has since been treated and released, according to the sources.

It was unclear whether the assault was being considered a hate crime. The motive was not known.

Sources on Thursday also gave details on an alleged hate-crime incident from May 19.

A 24-year-old man was inside the 34th Street-Herald Square station when a male stranger snarled, “You are Chinese, aren’t you? Give me your s–t. This is black people territory. I will slit your throat,” the sources said.

The victim fled and was unharmed, according to the sources.

The incidents came amid a recent surge in anti-Asian violence across the Big Apple and beyond.

Mayor Bill de Blasio announced in a Thursday press conference that the city would be making a $3 million investment in community organizations to combat hate but didn’t offer additional details.

“We need to redouble our effort to combat hate,” the mayor said. “Fighting hatred, these hatred and bias crimes goes against everything we are as New Yorkers … hatred has no place here.”

“We can’t just do it with policing,” he said. “We need to do it with communities and partners on the ground.”

On one hand I'm impressed the dude apparently thought the victim was Chinese instead of generic Asian.

On the other hand I'm baffled that someone who is willing to commit a hate crime would double check with the victim that they're an appropriate target, instead of just calling them a chinky bat fucker.
 
I was wondering when this shit was going to happen in Queens. Queens, especially Flushing and Bayside, went through an entire Asian Invasion many years ago, and only grew larger with each passing year, to the point where it's rare that you DON'T find a building that has BOTH english and asian writing on it (mostly Korean) that isn't a corporate company like CVS or Verizon.

All the asians in Queens should stand-up and revolt against the niggers since they vastly outnumber them.
 
$3 million “investment” w/o any further details? I might need to put on my tin-foil hat, but I think I see what’s really going on.
 
This is "Guess the Race: Tutorial Mode". I love how the article writer is still non-committal and vague, even though he has to direct quote the perpetrator flat-out declaring his race and how it's a hate crime.
 
Why are you guys asuming the aggresor was black if you didn't seen his face, you all sound racist to me.

I'm kind of amazed they actually included that quote in the article, seeing that every report I've read about these incidents does everything it can to play down the fact that black racist hostility toward asians (or anyone else really) is very real.

I've thought about that a lot, and I'd say "yes" to both....

There's probably a technical-increase (that you'd need a lab study to detect) of Asian people being assaulted just because they're Asian as I'm willing to bet there are indeed a measurable part of the populace ignorant/dumb/ornery enough to pick on such due to taking off-hand jokes about "China Virus" seriously.

But on the other hand, I'm willing to be the majority by far of the "increase" is media-driven over-reporting of actual cases that have nothing to do with the above and is just dindus being dindus at a time where their habits are now news.

nogs randomly chimping on asians isnt new or remarkable in any way. usually you just never hear about it because the press won't publish it (just like when they chimp on whites) but for some reason the woke crowd made "stop asian hate" a thing, and since journalists are full of woke retards they now blow up all the random chimping they usually ignore - but only if the target is asian, when the target is white or latino instead they still sweep it under the rug lol
 
Corona eh, oof that place has always been shit. Only thing that was good was the Italian ice place. To be honest, I am shocked it's not happening more over in Elmhurst area.
Also DeBlasio is a cuck and his wife is a goblina, he is the reason people have been fleeing New York in the past year alone in record numbers.
