Youtube recommended me a music video by an artist called "Cavetown" - apparently some FtM musician who writes songs about her Strugglez. I was nostalgia-tripping on some crappy pop-punk, okay?

A quick search tells me she hasn't been mentioned on KF before,
This song apparently had some deeper meaning about gender or whatever, but her fanbase is worryingly young and the comments section had me double-taking.
Here's a 13 year old girl who prefers to act masculine and is having trouble going through the turmoil of teenagehood and puberty. Many such cases! And like all the other girls, she's chalked it up to being transgender and has decided to share her story with the 14 million people who have come to listen to this song:

Almost 800 thumbs up and 100 replies of unwavering support for this 13 year old who hates herself so much, she wishes she could just opt-out of womanhood. Luckily she seems to be holding off for now, but is still adamant about her decision.
Among the 100 replies of unwavering support are more young girls with the same issues, as well as adults "affirming" them. "Come talk to me on discord, bro!":

I can tell they are
probably adults by clicking on random profiles and checking the join dates. Kids don't have youtube accounts that are upwards of 10 years old. Here's Connor Murphy chiming in an a youtube account that's older than OP but I think he's just an idiot, he's not really encouraging. Just an example.

Here's an 11 year-old who "came out as he/they", whatever that means:

And here's a NINE year-old with "supportive parents" who don't want them "showing off their pride". This one is thunk-provoking.

Anyway here's
cavetown. Looks like a female and slightly more commited Sam Smith, with the froggiest voice I have ever heard. I wonder what she thinks about the children who listen to her music?
