I don't even know what to say. These script excerpts legitimately read like a joke, like some sort of woke parody you'd find on /pol/.

All I'll say is, from what I've seen, even most SJW idiots are completely shitting on this. Even on Retardera. And that... is how you know you've fucked up.

And we said that about the TLOU2 stuff, and the Rise of Skywalker stuff, and the Game of Thrones stuff. Every time we say "This can't be true it reads like a Parody" it turns out to be completely unironically true so at this point, I am assuming this is fact because IT ALWAYS IS.

This reminds me of what was quickly learned about the weirdo who CN put in charge of Thundercats Roar. The dude simply didn't like it, he absolutely despised it, and not because of the actual show content of the original, but evidently out of literally nothing but an ongoing petty sibling rivalry because his brother hogged the television all the time wanting to watch Thundercats.

And then the infamous Teen Titans Go/Roar crossover happened. I have to believe somebody got fired over how absolutely disrespectful and offensive that was.

The fact it took this long is worrying, though. This shit stank from the moment it was announced Donald Glover was playing Utonium who could have been the subject of Weird Al's White and Nerdy song, the outcry from the internet could not be denied...and only NOW this shit is being delayed for rewrites?

I can only figure this means the pilot episode was complete and shown to executives. And this is the CW, these people fucking greenlit Batwoman.

We are looking at something that could define generations as the worst thing on television in the modern era, as the rewrite simply means they aren't going to do something sane like cancel this bullshit immediately, but they're trying to salvage something that was never functional to begin with. This is The Boys but with the PPG after reading those leaks, as seen by people who don't understand why The Boys is a popular show.

Between this and the hillarious outcry when woke liberals discovered the changes made to that Winx thing on Netflix or whatever, the woke crowd is going to witness their own logic and beliefs turned against them in an attempt to appeal to this vocal minority.

This is fucking karma and we get to watch their world burn to the goddamn ground as they see their own childhood memories be desecrated as equally as they desecrated franchises that came before their time. But isn't that what they're all about, equality?

Funny how suddenly that's a real problem.

That was admittedly my first thought, that if the CW of all fucking networks shot this down then it HAD to be bad. Rate me optimistic, but I’m hoping that some of the decision makers in Hollyweird noticed that Woke doesn’t make shit for money, but it’s just taking too long to redirect course.

I remember some failed reboots from years ago that were, at the very least, well intentioned.

I mean New Adventures of He-Man didn't really light the world on fire, I believe, because they moved away from the Sword and Sorcery and hitched their tent in Sci-Fi, robbing the brand of the charm it had of mixing everything together. And there were other problems but some of the toys were cool, the show had its moments, and they fucking tried at least. It was a well intentioned misfire.

Beast Machines was reviled by Transformers fans back in the day, especially those that watched and loved Beast Wars, but you know what? That was a show that took some risks and while it didn't always work, I can at least respect the effort. And none of the mistakes made were born out of disrespect for what came before. Actually, the show delved pretty deep into TF lore to incorporate certain elements into their stories, such as the Plasma Energy Chamber and the Key to Vector Sigma. True, the Maximal's designs were ugly as sin and there were other problems, but I don't think it was anything that was a deliberate middle finger. And I can't fault the thinking either as Beast Wars was a radical departure from classic Transformers, and that turned out to be the breath of fresh air the brand needed.

And was not a fan of GI Joe: Extreme at all because it was too "90s" for my tastes, where everything had to be "EXTREEEEEME!". But it wasn't trying to be shitty. It was just a faulty idea put into practice of "Lets take GI into the 90s" and that's what they thought it needed to be.

Good God, we're getting to where I have to defend the other failed attempts as being not as bad. Its like saying I'm nostalgic for the days when Terminator 3 was the worst one in that film series, but here we are. I'll take honest attempts that fail over maliciousness and contempt like Thundercats Roar or whatever the hell this Powerpuff Girls show is.

There is also the fact that it had some decent twists, Waspinator being the "Cool Mysterious Anti-hero Bot's spark" instead of Siverhawk, Rhinox going Full Starscream once he got his memories back.
 
I hope the artists behind this show some integrity, stick to their guns, and make sure that it's as garbage as it possibly can be.

I can barely believe Riverdale is real but there it is.
