A leading Black Lives Matter activist was shot in the head on Sunday morning “following numerous death threats as a result of her activism”.

Police were called shortly before 3:00am to reports of gunshots in Consort Road, in Southwark, south London, where a young woman, named online as Sasha Johnson, was suffering from a gunshot injury.

Ms Johnson, who remains in hospital with life-threatening injuries, is a BLM activist and mother of two. There have so far been no arrests in connection with the incident.

Her organisation Taking the Initiative Party (TTIP) confirmed that she was the victim of the shooting, writing online: “It is with great sadness that we inform you that our own Sasha Johnson has been brutally attacked and sustained a gunshot wound to her head.

“She is currently in intensive care and in a critical condition. The attack happened in the early hours of this morning, following numerous death threats as a result of her activism.

Ms Johnson's organisation, TTIP, shared this image on social media as she was in a critical condition in hospital
“Sasha has always been actively fighting for black people and the injustices that surround the black community, as well as being both a member of BLM and a member of Taking the Initiative Party’s Executive Leadership Committee.

“Sasha is also a mother of 2 and a strong, powerful voice for our people and our community.

“Let’s all come together and pray for Sasha, pray for her recovery and show our support to her family and loved ones. #prayforsashajohnson”.

Detective Chief Inspector Jimi Tele of the Metropolitan Police said: “We are all hoping that this young woman’s condition improves. Our investigation is in its early stages and urgent enquiries are under way to establish the circumstances.

"I would appeal to the residents of Consort Road and the surrounding area to check any doorbell or dashcam footage for any suspicious activity that may relate to this investigation."

black people then complained about them focusing too much on black on black violence, so they started policing all shootings
but most of the shootings were still black on black even taking everything else into account
so now BLM complain both about trident focusing on black-on-black shootings while also demanding a black community led initiative to handle violence against the black community

There are children in 3rd world countries who can read normal English, this is just insulting to the senses. If this is for people that aren't that good at English then it's supremely offensive to me that there are actually people who think this is a good way to keep them informed. Wouldn't it be better to write in normal English so they fucking learn how it to speak it and not talk like a slave from the Civil War era? The fact that there's someone in the BBC who's job is to write like a 3rd grader in special ed is mind boggling.

I wouldn't be surprised if she was the intended target. She'd been hanging around with the Nation of Islam, Black Panthers, and various other fringe Black activist groups. Groups populated by the type of black male that doesn't take kindly to gobby women.

This is certainly a ‘read between the lines’ story, as the immediate involvement of Operation Trident shows. You can just imagine the types she hung around with. One look at her social media photos shows she was styling herself as a bit of a political Beyoncé with an edgy hint of Huey Newton. I mean, a leather beret and carefully chosen retro sunnies? The thing with pidgin is that it's not that distinct from standard English. It's a pain in the ass to read something written by a retard, but I can do it, which also implies someone who speaks pidgin can probably muddle through standard English, assuming they can read at all. Only insane levels of wokeness explains the BBC doing this.

He's almost certainly aware of it. But presenting it as something new or the "actual" article on her fuels the right sort of flames.

From the looks of things Pidgin launched at the same time as Afaan Oromo, Amharic, Gujarati, Igbo, Korean, Marathi, Punjabi, Serbian, Telugu, Tigrinya, and Yoruba. It's part of the BBC World Service as opposed to a generic UK one.

Pidgin remains an odd choice since it's a largely spoken language and they do allegedly get complaints in from the various parts of Africa it's targeted at where they demand they use the spelling of certain words they use in their country rather than those used in others. However it's widely spoken so it does remain an understandable choice.

No idea how well received it has been by the targeted audiences. For all I know it's like Just A Minute in India and has a dedicated fanbase.

I've seen this factoid mentioned in every article about her, and I can only think it's to try and to convince ignorant people that she was a proper Oxford student.

She's 27 years old, not a current student, so why mention what uni she attended at all? I hope the news doesn't keep pointing out my crappy uni if I'm ever shot in the head.
