It depends on the sect or branch of Islam. Some have a full ban on music, some are fine with singing but not other forms of music, and most don't give a shit. Basically Footloose vs. normal Protestants, as a comparison. I don't know which sects though, but I know there's huge concerts in places like Dubai which might give some indication.

A lot of armchair imams we got here today. Its far more nuanced than that. All I'll say is that neither the UAE nor any "Islamic" country is a good representation because of how secular they are. That's the thing that a ton of people here are missing out. The center of the conflict is Jerusalem. Israel can hit Gaza and the West Bank as much as they want but they're not the main point of contention. If they try anything drastic with the Dome of the Rock or Al Aqsa mosque they will bite off more than they can chew. As much as they like to brag about how big and strong they are if Israel could fully take Jerusalem like they want to they would have done it in 67.
