Rekieta argues (5:58 onwards) that Boogie won't get the maximum sentence for a Class D felony (six years), due to his lack of a criminal record; however, he suggests Boogie could be looking at over a year of prison.

Boogie could plead to "public disturbance" or "disorderly conduct", which involves a probation period or possibly even county jail (not state jail), with fines and community service also potentially being sentenced.

The self-defence argument is best used as "leverage" rather an argument in itself, as it is a weak one, considering Boogie did not even shoot Frank Hassle and shot into the air instead; most likely the main reason why the DA have a hard-on for Boogs in the first place.

First time offender with presumably no history of note? Deferred adjuducation (or whatever that state calls diversion programs) with or without probation, IMO. Assuming they get the conviction, which hopefully they will- but put a tardfest in front of a jury and it could go either way.

Is getting trolled so hard you went to jail a first?
No it's the byproduct of when people attain money and fame and it goes to their head to the point they think they are untouchable, they do something stupid thinking they won't be affected by the consequences and surprise, they are reigned in by reality.
Boogie isn't the first to go mad with power, he won't be the last.

See Boogie, this what whining about low views non stop does to you. This fucking mugshot.

Boogie's actions do meet that definition of brandishing but as you can see his crime is AA, not brandishing.
There are still some places that call it that, but it's somewhat archaic. The AA definition folds brandishing into it. Assault is essentially any unlawful act that causes someone to fear imminent harm, while battery is if you actually cause the physical harm, no matter how slight.

I'm just thrilled he's going to be locked up even for a day or two. Suck it Boogie. Stupid jailbird. It's a pleasant surprise, especially since it seemed he had completely gotten away with it.

Not if you count Chris-Chan. Kengle was egging him on to "protest" the blarms and he ended up going to jail for a couple days.

Welp, at least Boogie can't bullshit about his height anymore.

I really hope we get to see the real details from this, height and weight, I’m not from the states but is this information available to the public after he’s been arrested?

edit : I see it’s been posted, I can only imagine he was photographed in his built up shoes he wears because no way is he 5ft 10. They give him a 2” lift

He won't be in there for long. $5,000 bail is nothing for someone with Boogie's money.
He's already been released. Only took about three hours.

There isn't a duty to retreat in your own home or the "curtilage," the area directly adjacent to it, like the front porch, yard, a nearby shed, other somewhat vaguely defined parts of the property. That's "castle doctrine" in Arkansas. No duty to retreat doesn't mean you're allowed to shoot wildly in the air because someone annoyed you.

It specifically does.

A.C.A. § 5-2-607(b)(1)(B)

It might not apply if Boogie is somehow considered the original aggressor, which is actually an interesting question. Hassle was definitely harassing him on his own property after being told to leave, but Boogie escalated it massively.
Law may say that but people have been convicted of manslaughter for shooting someone on there porch, threw doors and the like, because it was considered that the person wasn't in danger. Arkansas handles these things very weirdly (constitutional carry and self defense), and it is very dependent on where in the state you live. There's a joke in Arkansas about home defense, people say you have to drag them in the door before calling the cops.
