The protestors are illegally detaining the drivers, yet are armed to shoot anyone who tries to drive through. If they short someone trying to drive through and get away would they actually face recourse?

There's been a couple black girls under the age of 10 that got killed by BLM shooting into their cars while blocking streets. I don't recall their names and I haven't heard anything in the news about arrests being made.

anyone whos still a cop and hasnt put in for early retirement or quit is just helping enable this shit and is just as bad as them and should be scene and treated as such

Sadly, only one of the three or four that killed 8yo Secoriea Turner in Atlanta last year, was arrested and charged. The city leadership allowed that child to be murdered because they refused to enforce the law and arrest the people hanging out at/manning armed checkpoints at the Wendy's where Rayshard Brooks was killed.

They are supposedly there to observe and not participate in the activities, so that they can then later either testify or at least be familiar enough with the events unfolding to make cogent legal arguments about them. These are often National Lawyers Guild. It has long been affiliated with Communist and socialist groups such as the CP/USA. This isn't a slur, it's just a fact. At its inception in the '30s, many of its members were open Communists.

The government never lets its power go willingly. A true defunding of all local police would likely be a prelude to a federal police force. A true, top-down, jackbooted tyrannical force.

Godbear knows Michigan needs a viable alternative to Whitmer. However, I'm concerned about who would take over as DPD's police chief and whether that person would be more sympathetic to violent protestors than Craig is/was -- especially since those exact same protestors wanted Craig out of his job so that they could cause havoc and get away with it.

I guess you could argue it doesn't matter if you have a good police chief if the people up the line tie his hands. More important to have a governor, DA, and legislature that won't tolerate it.

Yeah, I could easily see some kind of federal police popping up to replace the current "racist" police and their "impenetrable" unions that protect them from when they "murder" "unarmed and innocent" black men.

The media would push it as a positive, making the people demand it, and it would be implemented in liberal cities first before slowly growing to most of the country.

where exactly, where have these assholes rioting have the police been hard on them at all even in red states the police just sit there making sure no one touches them and anytime anywhere anyone fights back the police gang up and arrest them

Yes, and to add to this, the legal system is being used as a weapon against the opinions people don't like. Another problem is the free exchange of information on the internet and ease of access for social media accounts is making it more difficult for people to keep altercations quiet. All it takes is one voice shouting into the void of the internet for you to have a mob assembled in front of your house, complete with weapons and shitty motives.

Are they also entitled to become overrepresented in colleges and intended scholarship recipients? I only ask because they are. Also, if they want my TV, they're going to have to work for it and figure out who steps foot onto my property first.
