If I’m understanding this correctly Belle (and by extension Puppy) was born female, identifies as a man (or rather a boy because these people never want to be adults lmao), but dresses like a woman and has a female name.

So not a trap, literally a woman who looks like a cisgender, feminine woman but thinks she’s a man and wants to be called he.

Editing to add: it’s too bad Belle isn’t a femboy/trap/cis tbh, it says a lot that (to me at least) that she can’t make a gnc character without them being transgender.

She probably realized trans men (sorry, boys) don’t get the same oppression points as non binary people in sjw circles lmao. This way she gets to claim multiple labels too, wouldn’t want to be one of those icky straight men!

edit: that said, not sure how one can be feminine and transmasculine but I’ve also long since learned not to try to apply the definitions of words with these types lmao
 
I support this new character. Great to see her drawing characters with visible deformity. As someone born without a nose, it's comforting to see a sexualized Garfield knockoff with the same disability.

I don't get how her fanbase just lets her play around grabbing and dropping labels like cards every other day and no one calls out or questions her for this. She's likely being influenced by others to be jumping around labels this quickly

Ordinarily I’d think transmasculine refers to what someone thinks of their own gender, and feminine alone refers to other things like how someone dresses and the like (see; self-identified trans femboys who still don’t like being called women, etc.), but it does further complicate things when lesbianism is added into the mix. It’s very obscure, like one of those things where you‘d have to understand so many other things already before you‘d start to have a clue about it.

Also, Puppychan’s art really makes me think:
I‘ve long since had the suspicion that part of the reason them and many other online artists nowadays have their art trend towards this weird, simple direction is because they want to get into drawing cartoonish art, but do so without much focus or discipline- they admire the sleek, efficient less-is-more sort of style seen from well done cartoons, then try to imitate the style in accordance to how quick it seems, but not how quick it actually is to draw. End result is an artist who tries to do something passable with the least amount of effort possible, somebody who draws to impress themselves in the moment without going the extra mile for onlookers. They think they’re being clever, but it almost always falls flat. It would make sense.

Another reason why I would consider her fanbase a cult, not because of a young audience but because she has manipulated thousands of young people to listen, follow, and treat her as if she was the 2nd coming of Christ.
