This might be old news, but in this clip Matsuri reveals that her salary for the first 6 moths to a year after debut was less than 100k yen per month.. so under $1k USD. This might be the floor estimate of Hololive's base salary without the superchat $$.

If I were to take a guess they likely have a floor salary which you stay on until you get over a certain subscriber count. Gura has 2.52M subscribers, and Pekora has 1.39M subscribers, so I can't imagine they're keeping them from just going indie with that kind of pay. I do kind of wonder what they'd ever do if one of them got to be as big as Pewdiepie.

I do think it is one the most underrated EN Collabs that can happen now, There something so endearing and charming that Ina seems to bring out the goofiness out of the other person she playing with. Always guaranteed for chill and nice comfy stream.

She had to google what a Harem despite clearly watching Anime prior to Hololive, She throws in shit like Meatspin, It could just be a smart way to make SC$$ people get frustrated when she says dumb stuff and feel the need to SC her to try and teach her. It actually works so really it's big brain plays.
 
All of Gura is a calculated risk/act, I am not even going to entertain the idea she's genuinely that dumb. I am okay with that.

My impression of Gura is that she's self-educated on a lot of things, and has a bunch of holes in her knowledge base as a result.
