I suppose when I talk about people with gender dysphoria, I'm mostly referring to old-school "transsexuals". Even then, it was nowhere near as common as being LGB, much rarer in fact. And I didn't mean to say that those with mental illnesses are born with it from day 1, but there is a genetic component to having it.

:story: I guess I answered "I don't care" one too many times. But that's because most people, myself included, are not hyper-obsessed with "feeling" the sex that they are, it's simply an inborn fact about themselves.

Also, "It's always good to check if I'm actually trans." Lol, wut? Is being trans something you need to constantly "check"? I thought it was supposed to be an innate trait you had, not something you need to constantly monitor. This is like when CWC thought he had to stare at a Sailor Moon poster all the time or else he would cease to be straight.

I've been listening to a podcast called "Blocked & Reported" for quite a while. The two hosts cover stuff like cancellations, and various trans inanities. We all know this crap.

In their latest podcast they chastice Linnehan for "misgendering" trans women. Graham will refer to men as men, and women as women.

Lol, and the ironic thing is that Jesse Singal is like Public Enemy #1 among twitter troons & lolcows. I know Brianna Wu, Becky Gerber, Jake Alley, and Arthur Chu all virulently hate his guts, for example. Jake "SecretGamerGrrl" Alley even likes to claim that Singal stalks and wants to rape him. :lunacy:

I don't know the full story behind all this. I think it's just because he's a journalist that often reports on troon stuff without 100% kissing their asses. No matter how nice, polite, and fair he tries to be about it, it's never good enough for the troons. Just bizarre.

Graham Linehan is a bit of a lolcow himself, but he's definitely on the right track here. Apologizing to troons or trying to coddle their feelings is a waste of time. Counterproductive, even.

I mostly like Jesse, but he's retarded. Him and Katie are both just so stupid about the Graham Linehan thing. I don't think their audience expects them to love him, just not dip their toe into reporting on his online presence if they're not going to actually do any research. Jesse's the same way with James Lindsay, the based member of the Sokal Squared hoax who has given up on the idea that liberals can fight Woke effectively. Lindsay got on a podcast with Jesse and Bret Weinstein, in which Bret and James were both telling Jesse he's a Polyanna, and Jesse got all flustered. As James Lindsay said, "We gave him a red pill, and he choked on it," and ever since, Jesse has been raging about how much of a fraud James Lindsay is. Basically, Jesse will write good stories and cover beats I'm interested in sometimes, but he's as likely to get into stupid personal beefs as anyone that don't make any sense.

The entirety of the TRA hatred of Jesse is that he wrote an article saying transition wasn't the right choice for every kid referred to a gender therapist, citing people who had stopped taking hormones after a while and were fine with it. It's been like four years since that article came out, and they haven't let their foot off his throat.

I don't think Jesse actually wants the trans activists to like him, but he wants other Reasonable Liberals to like him, so he has to pick a few right-wingers or people who don't mollycoddle the left to throw under the bus every now and then. Frustrating.

Kate comes from an upper middle class family; her family home IIRC is worth a million and change. Her brother is some high mucketymuck at Apple. She, as you rightly point out, is a lawyer whose high profile gig at the ACLU has gifted her with celebrity status, including attending the Emmy Awards. Unless she has a secret drug habit, she should have no issues paying her bills.
