That's fucking horrifying! The fact of anyone undergoing that mutilation should serve as a warning they are not mentally stable and should not had any form of responsibility whatsoever... However we have transgenders in school and in office.

It's also funny that you even call it a mental illness, that alone makes you transphobic to a big portion of TRAs. Either way, if it were just seen that way and TRAs didn't push everyone to start denying science and truth for troons' sake, i'd agree, but that's not the case. From women's sports, to women's jails, to puberty blockers for children, to trying to force people to date them or punish them for not saying "ma'am" and "she" to a male - there are a multitude of reasons to hate them.

If it only stayed at "it's a mental illness, don't feed into it by confirming their delusions" and if they didn't push all this shit on others, I'd agree, but as it stands, troons and their activists aren't just harmful to themselves, but to almost every aspect of society, women, children, the people that don't want to fuck them, scientific institutions, etc etc etc.

I would disagree that mental illness is always due to external factors. Some disorders, especially psychotic disorders, have a strong tendency to run in families. With dysphoria though, I think many of the people who suffered from it before the trans movement gained steam probably didn't choose to have it, it was indeed just something they were born with. But that doesn't mean we should give them physical treatments and surgeries in an attempt to relieve them of their illness, we should be treating it as a mental health issue and not as a chance for medical experimentation.

Jesus. I also hate what "self care" has turned into. It's supposed to be "caring for yourself as you would another person (or a pet)." and it's not that complicated:

Get enough sleep
Drink enough water
Eat the correct amount of food for calories, vitamins, etc.
Get enough exercise to stay healthy
Stay clean and hygienic to prevent discomfort and disease in yourself and others

Anything more than that isn't "self care". It's just the stuff between comfort-seeking (which is fine), and overt hedonism.

Conveniently excluding the bit from Sir Harold's wikipedia page where it mentions that prior to taking on SRS cases he had no savings and had to keep working despite being of the age to retire. So he was basically tapping into what he saw as a lucrative market by mutilating and experimenting on troons, having previously worked on injured soldiers. One can only imagine the horror that Michael Dillon kept in her trousers after Gilles performed 13 surgeries on her.
