i'm a layman, i'll consneed that this guy knows more than me, but I don't see how they can use these absolute figures when it's not something thats been measured.

As far as I can tell, they used half Chavuin's body weight (and a lot extra for gear) and based pressure which was used to figure out oxygen and so on, which is "fair" because drawing (toe above ground). Even then, this would only account for a maximum and not any shifting of balance, nor the possibility that Chauvin didn't have his knee on the neck "90% of the time". Neither do they explain a lack of bruising said pressure could've caused.
