Awesome - this is a super male-dominated hobby so I can't wait to check out these four female speedrunners and show some support!

Just being realistic here - in a community famous for its trans demographic + they want to push an agenda of "trans women are women" means they will definitely put one TiM out of four in here. Let's take a look.

What were you asked to do first? I was asked to put Europeans and "good words" on the right side and Africans and "bad words" on the right first. This feels natural because of how we associate negatives to the left and positives to the right, as in a number line. By the time they asked me to switch it up, my fingers and my brain were confused.

Also, their test doesn't work, because it said I only have moderate automatic bias against African Americans, but in reality, I fuckin' despise niggers.

There is not a metapost I can direct you toward or anything, I've looked for one myself I can show people. But there is decent enough info on why PCF is a joke, I forget what the exact problem with DWB was.

"Prevent Cancer Foundation"'s president first takes a huge cut off the top, and the bulk of what they actually spend goes toward 'cancer awareness' funding (people aren't aware of cancer I guess). Hardly any of it goes toward research. GDQ is now the main backer of it, though it goes back earlier.

It's wikipedia article is amusing; reads more like a defense attorneys brief 'why PCF is not a scam'.

She says she's going to call that transkid "Val". As a "historian", does she cite any sources that these people existed? Or is every example "protecting the identity", and therefore all but guaranteed to be made up bullshit in her head? Because if her research was able to find them, anybody can do the same. Even if these people were real, it only proves that gender dysphoria is a mental health issue that dates back centuries, just like any other mental health issue, and nobody is denying that. The issue is that this is now a popular trend that impressionable young people, especially girls, are trying to emulate. Giving kids puberty blockers because that's what they think is cool now-a-days, is fucking barbaric.

The basic argument here is impressively fallacious; the existence of historical examples tells us nothing about whether or not trans identities are a trend or the product of a symptom pooling.
Almost everyone accepts that "trans kids" have always existed in a categorical sense, the dispute isn't about that. The problem is about the incidence rate, a point not addressed by reference to anecdotes from the 1930s. To draw a comparison, there have probably always been bulimics - or at least there have been as long as there has been civilization - but that doesn't change the fact that the rate of bulimia skyrocketed in the 1970s for reasons of social contagion and a socio-cultural context that made the behavior attractive.


Also probably zero children/teenagers are going to die from banning medical interventions, and if you were really worried about it then you would cut out the suicide baiting. In full seriousness, more teenagers will die because of this idiot tactic than because of these bills. Every time this evidence-free assertion gets repeated, it gets read by confused kids who then take the message as "if I don't get X then I'll probably end up dead," lo and behold this leads to a perverse normalization of suicide as a rational response towards obstacles to transition.

Why does this girl think she's going to literally die or have to end up killing herself if she can't get her tits lopped off? Well, because you told her so and because she's an impressionable autistic girl who really truly believes in this nonsense. Neither her suicidal ideation or her nonsense belief that she somehow has a 'male brain' (actually, she's very feminine -- if anything she has a 'female' brain) are just timeless inevitabilities.

Using suicidality as a bargaining chip to get your way has been a hallmark of cluster B pathology since time immemorial. Only recently with this troon pandemic (separate from the covid pandemic, just FYI) did it become a socially acceptable thing to do, and that concerns me. Young people being encouraged by their therapists and clinicians to strongarm their concerned parents into submission through threats of self-harm.
