Eli Erlick and Cherno Biko were both outed as rapists. That did nothing to their ability to hold activist positions and be in the vicinity of vulnerable people. In fact, if you mention that either of them are rapists you're just called a TERF. Cherno Biko flat out confessed to it yet was still Stunning and Brave. So much so that he spoke at womens march afterward. And Sophie Labelle was outed as a diaperfur, although hardly so since he was promoting his own weird shit. That's still unfolding, but plenty are willing to defend him.
Basically, I think if you're raped by a trans woman you don't stand a chance. If you try to stand up for yourself you'll have to grit your teeth and pretend your rapist is a woman. And even after all the pronoun respection you'll probably still be called a liar and a TERF.
