The transmeds really aren't that different from the tucutes, sad to say. They're just as insufferable, or at least that's been my impression reading r/truscum and seeing their posts on other trans subs. They also have a sense of superiority because they're the "true trans". It's also quite clear they definitely have personality disorders and other mental issues besides dysphoria. And quite a few believe that once they get all the surgeries and SRS, there is no need to disclose their trans status to dating partners, because they become the opposite sex fully and "no one needs to know my medical history". They also have a huge victim mentality and have just as much hatred for TERFs as the AGPs and trenders, or really anyone who doesn't play along with their delusions. They also love to spout off on how SRS results are indistinguishable from the real thing, which we all know is a fucking lie.

While I feel for them that they have such an intense distress for the sex they were born as, they are suffering from a delusion, no different from what anorexics and people who want to amputate their legs and arms suffer from. And I find it to be extremely transphobic and cruel when people encourage their delusion and tell them they have to mutilate themselves and take hormones that were never meant to be in their bodies, instead of treating it with therapy and finding a medication that can help ease their suffering.

I would never tell an anorexic "My god dear, I can't believe that I didn't notice you getting so fat. Let me help you with starving yourself to death, because god knows it's better to be skinny and dead than to be fat." I would never tell a schizophrenic or someone suffering from psychosis or paranoia, "You're right. Those voices telling you to kill people are totally from the president, and if you don't do what they say, then they'll destroy the world!!" Same goes for those with Body Integrity Disorder. "You're right, you weren't meant to be born with legs and arms. You best get those amputated immediately, so you can live your true authentic self as a disabled person who can't take care of themself anymore!"

Well, why am I going to tell a man/woman, "Yes, you are really a woman/man trapped in a man's/woman's body! Now, we just gotta mutilate your body so it can match what you think you should look like. Oh, and here's some hormones that were never meant to be naturally in your body and will have adverse effects, but who gives a shit about that, because all that matters is to encourage you on your quest to become something you will never actually be!"

I just can't do that, nor should I be forced to so someone doesn't have to face reality.

i agree with you, ethical nightmare. "tucute vs truscum" / the transmedicalist debate doesn't matter in the end (unless there's real political agitation to "gatekeep" more people from rushing into hormones and srs). there is no legal difference between "real" trans people and "fake" trans people right now in the US, the argument is a moot point rn. the law is completely based on self identification, there are informed consent clinics everywhere, and GID isn't considered a disorder anymore.

gender dysphoria and body dysmorphia is a feeling that many non-trans people (esp. women), or detrans people can have, and can cope without medical transition. they just aren't being told it's possible to use skills like crossdressing, roleplaying, cognitive behavioral therapy, radical self-acceptance, time, etc. the "gender affirmation model" is doing a great disservice to these people.

I'd use the term "troon" lightly when talking about how many of them are on Reddit, as they're more likely to be AGPs. When ugly men discover that they really can't reel in a 2/10 gf they decide to become the gf themselves and transition into a woman. They have some preconceived notion that this will somehow "broaden" their dating horizons because - much like CWC - they think that they can somehow appeal to lesbian women, despite having a "girldick".
It's not all sunshine and rainbows though, as the detransition subreddit has a lot of users, too, mostly being MTFs. It's just something beta males do because they think being trans will help them get laid (it doesn't).

What's funny is that I like to listen to the podcast he's on Song, Vs. Song, and he still uses his male voice, AHAHAHA! If I hadn't checked his Twitter I wouldn't have known that he was trooning out (although these could have been recorded weeks in advance, so who knows if Todd will bend to his ~pronouns~ in the future?). I didn't actually ever know that he trooned out until I checked on here to see if he was mentioned.

"[My wife] Lindsey fell pregnant in 2016 and gave birth to our little girl, Raelee. There was a fair amount of jealousy felt, as I was envious at how close Lindsey was able to be to Raelee during the pregnancy.

What kind of self-absored, narcissist gets jealous of their child having attention? Why couldn't he be more involved with their child? I feel so sorry for this girl. Her dad is an obvious textbook narcissistic AGP who needs to be told that he's wonderful and amazing every single day and because a toddler doesn't understand relationships and boundaries yet, she'll keep saying these things and it totally makes him feel validated™!
 
On the subject of "tucutes" vs "transmeds":
Who the fuck cares? Neither of them pass, and neither of them will ever be women. Just because one of them doctor shopped until they found a quack willing to give them an official diagnosis doesn't mean they're any less insane/repulsive/misogynistic.
 
anyone seen those jokes, or "arguments", that TRAs and allies make that go something like, "why would a man go through all that effort to pretend to be a trans woman and prey on women"? i don't even have to explain why this is dumb af... but i will anyway. a) men will do anything to prey on women if that's their goal. b) men don't have to do literally anything to claim trans status.

I call them all troons or trannies - regardless of their desires for doing so.

I don't think sub categorising them actually makes much difference. As @Ethical Nightmare said, both types (homosexual/heterosexual or truscum/tucute) are toxic and disturbed.

Troon = trans loon and all trans people are insane
