I haven't bought a console since the 7th gen
and even then I bought them both second hand for under 100

hell at this point the only thing I use them for are to play split screen halo or play bluerays

Indeed. Supply and demand are universal regardless of whether you're under the hammer and sickle, or the stars and stripes. When supply is low and demand is high, that's when scalpers show up, no matter where you are.

That's a brilliant way to put it, plus I now realize I answered my own question from the beginning. Whatever hormones pre-troonery Jim could gauge were his viewpoint into the world as a "man." Suplexing his endocrine system with "woman" hormones is a reckless totally mature and intelligent way to guarantee he feels different regardless of gender identity ("born again" as you said). Counseling and self reflection take too long! It is the CURRENT YEAR!

What's funny is he does follow the gamer news bubble more or less he's just always late to it because he insists on keeping to his Monday only upload schedule he's been using since his days on The Escapist. There are plenty of better choices when in comes to gaming news channels on Youtube because they often upload asap with plenty of videos a day, and unlike Jim they just tell you what's going on and what the majority opinion is. Say what you will about them but that's what you need to do if you want an audience that only cares about watching your videos because they can't be bothered to keep updated on gaming news themselves.

Jim thinks his retarded skits/politcal rants make his show special but it's actually what drove his audience away. Having an embarrassing troonout was just the icing on the cake.

Edit: I should add the only other reason people watched Jim was his video game reviews but I don't even need to say that there are plenty of better game reviewers on Youtube now as well. It doesn't help that he hardly does them anymore because he clearly hates playing video games.

I'm thinking of getting a PS5 this summer because of this reason. I had an Xbone because of Forza, but I haven't heard shit about any new releases on that franchise. May as well hop back to Gran Turismo isn't it
 
Since he's bitching about algorithms again, I'm trying to figure out what niche Jim thinks his content now serves, given he's canned everything except the Jimquisition on his channel.

The gaming-related channels I still watch either cover current news, daily, or niche stuff like emulation, development hell, homebrew and teardowns. There's no gap for some manic troon rolling into his third or fourth consecutive year of ranting about the same three topics once a week; he's beaten that horse so flat you could slide it under a door.

He's firmly on the Spoony trajectory, but will his Patreon will dry up as fast?

No, it won't. Now he's a troon (and still famous enough) he gets access to the Twitter brigade's collective welfare. So long as he keeps stirring up shit and talking about twansphobia on Twitter, he'll maintain his income. Have you noticed how his youtube subs keep dropping but his Patreon is still at 14k? It has probably dipped a little since, but it's not dropping nearly as fast as his relevance on youtube.

That's his actual transition. Forget going from "male landwhale" to "female landwhale". He's trying to go from "washed-up games critic" to "Brave, Stunning and Persecuted Twitter Trans Rights Activist".

That's my gut feeling too, I just still find it hard to reconcile the fact people will throw Patreon bux at someone for doing literally nothing except being Stunning & Brave™.

Having said that, it does make me wonder how long before Jim finally drops the pretense and pivots his channel entirely towards troonery and other general degeneracy like his buddy Laura whatever, or will he just let the channel die.

The whole thing is a sexual thing. It's not an "alternative lifestyle" or "more comfortable image", it is entirely a fetish that they won't own up to. That and like with many cases it's also for attention and fame. Jim realized that all he had to do was put on a wig and suddenly a raving mob of online retards would walk off a cliff if it meant shutting down anyone who criticizes him for muh transphobeuh, along with internet media outlets who want to make cash off said tardmob.

I don't think it is just a sexual thing. Well, not with everyone, there's not exactly a shortage of cows who do it solely for sexual reasons. I think some people troon out because they're miserable, and instead of actually taking a look at their life and determining what they are doing wrong to have such a shitty existence, they instead pretend that, it isn't their life/decisions that were wrong, no, it's that they were born the wrong gender. Something that was entirely out of their control, so they can completely ditch responsibility. Then, they build up this fantasy that once they do troon out, everything will magically become better in their lives. And usually, for the first few weeks they act happier playing make believe, but after that short honeymoon period, they realize their life still sucks. So, to further avoid taking responsibility, they blame transphobes and insist the system is wrong and that's what is keeping them down and causing their depression. That's why so many of them beg for money, insisting they can't work on their own/collect tugboat money because the transphobes won't give them a job when in reality they are just lazy and have no skills.
 
Its only been like a month and he is already blaming youtube, He is going to go full boogie and blame the algorithm on everything soon.

I agree with this, although in Jim's case I'm 50:50 because he's always been a sex weirdo who tried to play it off ironically (watching the Yoshi porn, the dragon dildos/dildo bat etc) but I could just as easily see his troon out being because he'd rather be anyone but himself.

It's clear he has no intention or ability to lose weight, and he seems genuinely miserable about having backed himself into a corner professionally, so the chances of making positive improvements in his life are almost zero...there's only two options left when you reach that point and trooning out is just a pit stop on the way to the other one.
