Case was nolle pros'd by the ACA. He wasn't exonerated, they just weren't interested in spending more money on it. That'd being said the clerk mentioned something in some footnotes about "special circumstance" which could mean he was sent to some type of diversionary program by agreement, and the charges can be brought back.
EDIT: Basically if he completes the diversion and doesn't fuck up for some amount of time they will drop the charges for good, but if he fucks up the prosecution can come back and assfuck him, since there's no double jeopardy attached to a nolle prosequi in Virginia.
EDIT 2: Also the clerk's name was Faith, so that made me giggle.
