Somewhere upthread there was c&p of the usual 'instructions on dating trans' with the usual claptrap about it being OK not to date someone because you're not attracted, but not OK to date simply because you don't date trans anything.

Thing is, I can count on the fingers of my elbow the amount of times I've seen either trans women or even trans men, where I've looked and honestly not had a visceral gag / repulsed reaction. God, in no way am I picky about looks in relationships (not exactly Nefertiti myself), but this isn't about even basic levels of averagely OK-looking. It's a rare troon who doesn't look like exactly what they are - a buggered up aberration of whatever Nature dealt out to them in the first place.

Even attractive men & women who try to pervert their healthy physical bodies into ridiculous gender cliches raise my instinctive hackles. All the cues I'm getting make no sense to my subconscious. I look and there will be some bit of proportion or body language that screams everything else they're pretending to be is a lie. And one thing is certain: if trooning makes even good-looking people look deformed in a subliminal way, then it's NEVER going to make a bloated balding fugular man or a weedy squinty pock-skinned girl look magically beautiful and sexy, in any gender.

I'll never date trans until the day I meet one who doesn't make my skin crawl on sight, and it's never happened yet. I know, great loss to the troon dating pool, and all very superficial on my part. I'm sure they all have beautiful souls, and are generous & empathetic lovers, mmmyeah. Point is, I'm not rejecting them because they're trans. I'm rejecting them because, with every fibre of my body and mind, what I see is someone choosing to deform themselves into a fundamentally WRONG human being.

FWIW, people with utterly gross visible piercings make me feel pretty much the same way. That whacko with the giant deliberate mouth-hole in his cheek still makes me want to heave when I think about it.
