It's hard not to notice that a lot of advertisements in the states are now absent of white actors/figures (or anyone who happens to have light skin) ever since Fentanyl Floyd was buried in a solid gold casket on national television. Well, no, sometimes you get a black dad, a white mom, and 2 brown kids of a totally different ethnicity. East Asians, Europeans, anyone of ABC or XYZ race who happens to be a bit fair? To hell with them; especially the blondes! Only black people drive expensive cars, go hiking, buy almond milk, use soap, etc. The pandering is tiresome to say the least.
I have a feeling that you're wrong, but at the same time I don't want to do a search for any evidence.

All the Clinton-era municipal art in my area has been replaced with giant clean concrete walls, or sub-Banksy inspired graffiti.
I miss those 30s era murals of factory works and miners and such. People doing productive things instead of obese blobs.

The "art" you're referring to ITT is what happens when you hire women in IT.
But I actually do consider it an art form. Just imagine the list of obstacles they're facing when "designing" that stuff.
- make sure it has no obvious characteristics of a healthy man/woman, so that it doesn't offend fat people
- make sure it doesn't have pale pink skin color, so that it doesn't promote white nazi neonazi nazis fascists supremists
- make the character look "fat" but not in a direct way - it has to look cute/artsy type of fat, because normal people won't complain of being misrepresented or bodyshamed, but the fatties...
- do not make it all male
- but do make it non-white male
Average all of this in and you get web based flat minimalist abstract illustration style we have today.
Bonus level - if the obstacles are too perplexing make it either an animal or a deformed humaniod, think Facebook bluefaced creatures. You can't file a racism complaint to Facebook over it, they're all blue in the face.
Imagine the future 5 years from now.
