TBF, it was originally because a particular group of faggots wouldn't stop shitting up the Deep Thoughts election thread that was more-or-less meant for actual discussion, as they got bored with the numerous other containment threads where they could do so, while another group of faggots wouldn't stop engaging with (or even outright calling out) said-group of faggots.
