The reason this is working is simply because GOP elites hate Trump beyond belief.

Those lawsuits and audits would not have been stonewalled or dismissed if it was anyone else.

I think convincing wasn't the right word to use as elaborate would've fit better but regardless the point still stands that if you believe voter fraud exists then the talking point of "LIBERALS R RETARDS WHO ARE TOO STUPID FOR US INTELLIGENT CONSERVATIVES" is fucking stupid if they are believed to be this crafty at the same time.

I have an honest question: if you think that all these people on Trump's side that fight the apparently lost fight are plainly grifters, wouldn't their game be pretty risky? I mean once the January 20th comes and Biden gets sworn in, it's completely indefensible, and then what? Their careers are pretty much ruined, they are exposed as grifters, and the wrath of thousands rednecks who had their hopes up is upon them.

Even if you think it's a plain grift, it seems a bit idiotic way to go about it. If there was really no ace up the sleeve, you could just give up now. You tried, lawsuits, hearings, affidavits etc. You did your best, and already skimmed some losers. How many more losers you are going to skim with few weeks left, when they probably want to spend something for Christmas? Instead you could start transitioning into a more prolonged grift like building a new independent platform or whatever.

Another thing that for me is a hint that something is up, is that many of the people involved don't seem to have guts of stone-cold psychopaths. They seem to be rather dorky lawyers, that don't even seem to be very good at propagandizing their cause. You kinda feel sorry for them, and it's truly hard to believe that they would just be able to play anyone.
