Do you think Ronnie strangled Ethan during their romps in the sheets and that's where he gets it from? I imagine the only reason Ethan stopped strangling Faith was because in the moment where his eyes were bulging and he was screaming "DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM" he got a good look at his thumbs and he realized he was losing a lot of the brown town product on her throat. Maybe Ronnie used feces thumbs as a sort of twisted, stinky pacifier when Ethan cried too much.
