Incidentally the modern right probably believes that 4G warfare is real (invented by wingnut William S. Lind who was part of a group that tried to persuade the Pentagon to essentially go back to WW2 military doctrines and then wrote a cringy fanfic about pseudo-Amish winning the Boogaloo that way), while the Left is all about "muh science" to a fault, which produces a similar disparity.

Has the US had a Cromwell-tier army reformer in the recent past who happens to also be a fanatical shitlib? They must have been able to wreck Iraq in less than a week somehow.

Edit: If you believe Albion's Seed, it's literally the same conflict with the same people happening again. Southerners are Cavaliers, Yanks are Puritans, and guess what they've both evolved into. The only difference is that we're still at the stage where the army is disproportionately Cavalier, despite Obama's best efforts.
