Essentially they're trying to adopt only portions of Trumpism rather than Trumpism in its entirety. You could see this a bit with Ann Coulter where she recognized the anti-immigrant sentiment, but sorta ignored everything else and would deride Trump as a corrupt for years (still wild that she did this in her book In Trump We Trust yet it got treated as a book of her fawning over him). They're trying to plug portions of Trumpism they personally like into their old views rather than reform into a party in Trump's image. Luckily Trump isn't backing down in the least and in the last few days we started seeing more GOP wake up and start defending Trump, so he at least has some political power over them still (that they're willing to recognize at least).

Anybody that doesn't personally tweet funny things should never get the GOP nomination ever again. Cruz would have my vote since he's embraced the Zodiac Killer meme and has the occasional spicy shitpost.

No death squads, no Berlin style wall at the border, no coup to seize power indefintely. By that metric, Trump is literally the worst fascist.

These are also the same people beating the ACAB drum super loudly while completely ignoring Kamala and Joe's track records. I honest to God believe people like this want the old soft racism of low expectations because it feeds their white savior complexes.

I think the most insufferable twats already got the smug out of their system and I generally try to avoid politics outside of the Farms so nbd. There was a bit of "haha fuck you Trump" but honestly not nearly as bad as I would have expected. Probably because your garden variety NPC isn't being subjected to CNN's 24 hour conga line of Orange Man Bad and they are now doing a bunch of soft spoken sportsmanship bullshit about how it's time to stop dividing America among political lines (CNN is not known for riling people up, no sir), and also probably because, well, ew, Biden. The most enthusiasm people could scrape up was "vote blue no matter who" which is the most resigned limp dick slogan I've ever heard.

I've seen tweets from some people claiming to Venezuelan and they say that they thought similar things when their elections were stolen. Decades later the socialists are still in power and people are fleeing Venezuela by the thousands.

IMO the scope of this is being downplayed by many. If the Dems are allowed to get away with this then there will never be a free election in this country again. They will do their damndest to flip every single state with election fraud and flood it with liberal voters and illegal immigrants. What, are we counting on the "natural conservatism" of Mexicans and South Americans to carry the day at the polls? That's what was supposed to happen here, there's still plenty of fraud to go around.

I won't pretend that there's some kind of doomsday coming because we don't know that. But the idea that we'll walk out of a Biden presidency with only a blurry Obama Term 3 is overly idealistic. And besides the Dems will demand revenge in all things. Remember that AOC decided that she wanted enemies lists, where do those usually lead?

Refugees of communism are very upset right now and they should be. They've seen this before. Eventually their home countries had to shoot their way out. And there's no where for us to run to, we make our stand here on this soil.

I'm not trying to be doomy necessarily, it could be nothing, who knows. But no one should just assume that. Especially considering how easily lots of Americans even here on these boards are just going along with it and sighing gently as they watch politicians being put on enemies lists and people are casually disenfranchised of their vote. For a lot of rightwingers this is fucking go time, there are people preparing for a legit civil war right now and I think those numbers are only going to increase as we go forward.

Trump has a very difficult assignment right now as he has to survive both the attempts to destroy him and the gravitational pull of the deep state trying to push a Biden presidency along so they can turn this country into a corpse to be picked at by all manner of vultures. The odds are simply not great and there's not a whole lot that we can do as bystanders. If we do get a Biden presidency then we should prepare for the worst so that way we're at least prepared and not caught with our pants down. Y'all can rate me with top hats if you want but it's absolutely the truth.

Biden and Cocaine Mitch have worked together before. I don't see any reason they won't work together again. Biden knows how to play the game and will be pushing centrism. He knows how the game is played, and he and Mitch know they can trust the other to make a deal and hold to terms.

As someone in this thread said, Biden will be too busy using State Department access to enrich his friends and family to focus to risk domestic. If he's only half as grifty as Obama - funnelling settlements directly to Dem mouthpieces & vassal orgs - it'll probably be fine.

I think Biden understands his name and where he is most of the time, but his handlers understand that people want quiet and stability after fours years of derangement syndrome and won't be looking to rock the boat with a hostile congress. Biden is likely going to try to heal the uniparty rift - at least on the surface.

Regarding some keep points:
- DACA scammers will be safe again. Which I'm not happy about but honestly I was hoping current DACA enrollee normalization would have been a trading chit as part of a more comprehensive reform bill. What'll be less good is they are almost certain to turn on the tap again - since a Democrat is in office, the executive branch can unilaterally set immigration policy again.
- ACA will be getting re-enshrined to refill the DNC coffers.
- Paris deal will start sending industry back to China.
- SALT cap will be getting lifted. I hope Cocaine Mitch makes him pay dearly for that, but I have a feeling with no Trump they'll back to cucking out.
- Be interesting to see what plays out in Venezuela. I'm not sure how that plays out, but my guess is a Biden retainer gets a payout from the state and loosens the noose.
-The real long term shit thing is the Iran deal complete fucking cucked-out ankle-grabbing is going to be put back in place. Fuck I'm pissed about that, but the critical damage was already done once Obama just gave them 400 million in unmarked small bills and the EU continued cucking out.

tl;dr
Basically, extreme stability for the next two years. Maybe all four, not sure how the mid-terms will shape up. We'll be back into another shit war in the Mid-East, probably start stirring shit up in Syria again. In the short term, Domestic will be fine, International will be lots of hidden graft but other wise fine. Go long on crazed moon-worshippers getting the bomb.

The more interesting thing to watch regardless of how the recounts go, is to watch the DNC. If the DNC wonk-watchers are right, even if he gets Centipeded at the buzzer, Biden out performed Clinton, and that means the Clinton era is effectively over and they're effectively ousted. But Biden seems to be hewing old-school, and may also be pushing for a neutering of "The skwad".

The media managed to radicalize large swathes or normies in the last 4 years, turning them from generic Democrat voters into seething TDS machines. The few that were already radical have felt vindicated due to the media making more extremists, so they feel safe taking the mask off now.

Now the radicals are in full control and have the potential to hold the highest office in the country again. They've been told how anybody who opposes them is a literal Nazi for 4 years, and now they can do whatever they want to those people and the whole machine will cover for them.

They've always been like this, there was just fewer of them, and it only took one loss for them to rip the mask.

I'm more amazed at how these toons that were made for kids and pre-teens have large adult fanbases. I myself have never seen a kid who watches Steven Universe, Gravity Falls or the She-Ra reboot, though it could be different cultures and viewerships. It's always some poor excuse of a grown-up person waxing praise for the "though-provoking themes" those cartoons have.
