There will be some good treatment for joining the army. Generally speaking, as long as the political test and physical test are qualified, you can only take part in it from the lowest level of volunteer soldiers (commonly known as big head soldiers). If you graduate from military academies and other places, you will have a higher rank and treatment。
The law nominally stipulates that every adult male is required to perform military service. However, due to the large population, they usually only need to have a registration and physical fitness test, and will not directly enter the military training. However, in China's junior high schools, high schools and universities, freshmen will carry out military training from about a week to about a month (only amateur exercise, not formal)。
 
I've been wondering, exactly what kind of content can you see through the Great Firewall of China without resorting to covert means? Aside from this site and government-approved propaganda? For instance, I've heard that Wikipedia is blocked for showing the truth about your country.

It seems that it is difficult to avoid such a problem. I can only describe it as objectively as possible without using sensitive words.I don't cook. The most famous dish in Chongqing is hotpot, but this can only be eaten in restaurants and it's very spicy. More common and simple Chinese food, I would like to have "tomato scrambled eggs", "egg fried rice", "miscellaneous sauce noodles", etc., very simple. Yes, I've heard their songs.

I think it's very bad on the whole. There are few high-quality films and a lot of pure commercial works. It has something to do with the domestic audit system。Some classic old movies may be good, such as Stephen Chow's。

Sorry, I don't know how to cook. Besides, Tso’s chicken is not famous in China. It's a unique Chinese dish in the United States. If you want to learn how to do it, I think there are a lot of tutorial videos on YouTube。

The most common ones are that the new coronavirus is a biological weapon made in the United States; 911 and the moon landing are dramas written and directed by the United States; and some people believe that the Chinese people do not come from Africa, but have their own evolutionary route。
 
What are some stereotypes you have of people from each region of China? Not just asking about Xinjiang or ethnic stereotypes either, please include stereotypes about people from Anhui, Hubei, Hunan, Fujian, etc.
 
You’ve mentioned school earlier in the thread what is the curriculum like in China? Obviously things like Maths and Science but I’ve heard of schools teaching Confucianism in stead of the core subjects is that becoming more common under the Xi administration?

If that were true, it would mean that Chinese people and other humans are of different species, right? So Chinese people couldn't have children with non-Chinese people? I hadn't heard about the moon landings being a Russian hoax, but an American/NASA hoax, sure. Of course, some of the people who believe that also believe that the Earth is a disc with a dome over it with the sun and moon whirling around above and that all space travel is fake…
 
How is public education (elementary, middle, high school) in China? What classes do you take and to what level (in, say, math) do you go to?

How are Chinese internet memes / internet culture in general (besides people getting nationalistically assmad)? How similar is it to American/western internet?

Will your government punish you for not using a Meiling avatar like a true patriot?

How religious are people in China? I know a lot of people will practice folk religion but don't call themself religious, and that the government only has a little tolerance for organized religions like Christianity. Are there underground religious groups or a lot of people who practice a religion in secret?

Thanks for answering all of these questions, by the way. It really is impossible to have an open conversation about these things with most Chinese people and so most of the people who will talk about it are foreigners who lived there.
 
I haven't read this thread because I'm a chad. But do you live in an apartment? If so, did your stove have a ton of grease on it. From what I know about living in Chinese apartments no one fucking cleans the grease off of stoves. Its so annoying.
