That was more of a general warning to the people, that thread has some messed up shit in it (and I mean this both literally and figuratively, there is a lot of scat art there).
I also did some really mild gore art in early high school, mainly because I was in my edgy teen phase. Maybe the artist or the commenters are teens who are going through a phase.
An other thing that's possible is that those artists are going through some things and they vent through art. South Asian people are pretty quiet about themselves, their lives and mental health because that's what their society dictates there, they are not as open about their problems as in (for example) the USA. No wonder those countries have some of the highest suicide rates.
