Let's pretend for one moment that he does die before the election, just for the funsies. What happens then? Will the nomination revert to option number 2, aka Bernie Sanders? Or will his running mate automatically replace him just the way Vice-President is supposted to step in after the Big Man in the White House chokes on a piece of matzo? Does he even have a running mate yet?

I sometimes wonder if Trump can actually pull off a Reagan ‘84 and almost completely own the electoral map.

Probably not, in CURRENT YEAR, but Biden is doing his best to make that shit happen.
 
President Trump is doing rallies all over the country several times a week and Biden decided he's gonna sit on his ass for the final lap? Is this them being so confident in a win, that trying harder to swing some states their way isn't worth the effort?
It could be me being paranoid, but doesn't it sound a bit suspicious that they're only doing the bare minimum? Someone please help me understand what's going on in their heads, my IQ is not high enough to keep up with this 5D chess of a strategy.
 
The scary thing about these election is that Biden winning means that there is no more point in having a good candidate for presidency. Literally anyone can be voted in with enough money and media support. It's a win for a bread and circuses politics that will just bleed money more and more, until the money eventually runs out and the USA (and possibly the world economy) collapses. But the rich people and institutions will be long gone by then, probably immigrating to China/Eruope and trying to cram themselves into their politics.
 
So new idea. What's the probability they saddled biden with as much socialist garbage as possible. So that when he loses big they can claim it's electorally unviable?

The source is a Breitbart story that doesn’t actually present proof that a lid has been called, just that there is nothing scheduled.

Biden’s team is probably trying to figure out the last few places to hit without publicly announcing the stops until the day of the event, something that’s unusual but not unprecedented.

The thought occurred to me. Might explain why Biden seems to keep waffling. One motive I can think for this is that it's an attempt to bring the super-hard-left back into line with the neoliberal Dem party, a way to say "See? We did it your way and it didn't work. Now shut up and get back in your box."

There isn't much that's completely off the table at this point.

The dude is anti-Biden and I can't find anything else that confirms this. I really wish this lid shit was announced somewhere online and we didn't have to rely on it being passed along by internet word of mouth and shitty journalists.

If it's true, and Biden is hiding rather than just streaming from somewhere, then something major happened to Biden medically. If something irrecoverable happened to Biden, their best option is to hide it until after the election and continue campaigning.

Biden had multiple brain aneurysm's in the past, along with an irregular heartbeat, hypertension, takes bloodthinners for some of these issues, and was able to have an eye hemorrhage on CNN without even straining. All of these problems are made even worse by taking memantine, his cardiovascular system is a ticking time bomb and something's bound to happen.

Never thought about it, but couldn't an alternate explanation be that Biden fucked up so badly in the past few days that they want to slow the bleeding in his campaign as much as possible before Election Day?

I'm going with this explanation. Biden's claim that he will "transition from the oil industry" probably means that campaigning in Pennsylvania is dead in the water. He has been sticking close to Delaware for his entire campaign so they can't go any further than that without him getting cranky.

A lid is just so he doesn't blunder into a land mine he personally set.
