You can. Sort of. I think. Back when I was a kid one of my cousins dropped a rock about the size of a paving stone off a bridge, into a river. Once the water settled, we could see a mid-sized fish bobbing on the surface. We just assumed it was near the surface and the rock hit it on the way down hard enough to either stun or kill it. Either way, it got carried down the river by the current.

This has been Reminiscences From Battle Creek, with Corn Flakes. Now back to our regularly scheduled Trump Derangement Syndrome.
