Heh, I once was staying in a small European town on a Sunday night and was relegated to trying to light my last cigarette on an electric stovetop after I ran out of matches. I think I spent about 40 minutes on that. It's not that I couldn't wait until the next morning to buy a lighter, but when the addicted mind decides it's about to get something, it becomes obsessed. Nothing else seems to matter. Looking back on it, it seems surreal. It makes me happy that addiction isn't a part of my life anymore (other than caffeine).

You can't just buy butane at any 7-11, at least in a big city. We had to go to a hardware store. But I'm no expert on trashy southern life so maybe I'm wrong.

Also the coda to that story is that the people saying the torch was out of butane were actually too high to realize they were just using the torch wrong. It still had fuel in it, as we realized in the morning. When you're fucked up and really want those drugs, you'll do crazy things—even if just a second glance would have made you realize you don't need to.

That night was also the night of Michelle Obama speaking at the 2016 DNC lmao. Sometimes it's the smallest things you end up remembering.

I think it would be hilarious if May truly starts doing good analysis and decent editing. Her becoming Digi's successor after the break up and capturing his audience would be surreal to see. His unkempt appearance with above average technical knowledge meeting this willingness to do aggressive callouts and spout non-mainstream opinions made him seem like part of a kind of Anituber counter-culture.

The scene is more diverse now, but when Digi was getting popular he really set himself apart and seemed to hold himself and others to a high set of standards regarding anime. He was as disgusting, aggressive and autistic as any honest and true anime fan "should" be. He was the ambassador for basement dwelling weebs on YouTube, in contrast to the cookie-cutter MAL tier Anitubers that were around.

Now I’m curious if sadwiki actually made these beats from scratch or not. If so, I’ll give him props because they’re fairly well put together low-fi beats.
