I don’t mean this in a mean way, but i am so sick of non-binary peopletrans women overrunning every single transfemale space. The fact that I, a transgender manwoman, am a minority in transfemale spaces is appalling to me. It is so frustrating trying to get support as a trans personwoman and genuinely not receiving it in spaces that were designed for people like me. Oftentimes, I don’t even feel like I can share my experiences because I know that nobody in those spaces would be able to relate or even understand. I’m not saying that non-binary peopletrans women don’t deserve support, but there needs to be separate spaces. ESPECIALLY when it’s just a phase for a lot of these “non-binary”"trans" people. When I go to these support groups or clubs, I can tell that a lot of these people are going to go back to identifying as cis in a few years. But for me, being transfemale is not a fun little identity that I can shed when I get bored of it. I have to live my entire life as a transgender manwoman who experiences problems that directly come from being transgenderfemale and it’s gotten to the point where I am unable to receive support within my own community because it’s been overrun by non-dysphoric cisgendertransgender people identifying as transgenderwomen. This is not me making fun of “trenders” or bullying anyone. This is me genuinely so frustrated because I am unable to find a space for myself in my OWN community. I see so many nonbinarytransgender people in these spaces who completely dress and appear as their AGAB, they have not and will not ever be medically transitioning in any capacity, and their ONLY “trans”female experience is asking their friends to call them pronouns that no stranger will ever call them because they can not/will not “pass.” They have next to nothing in common with transgender peoplewomen. And yet, they are overrunning spaces that are specifically designed for transgender peoplewomen. The problems that a non-binary persontrans woman experiences are nothing like the problems that I experience, so why am I being pushed aside to better accommodate them?
Met a troon recently on a Minecraft server. Their base is littered in trans flags in literally every way they could portray it in-game. I was gunshy, but they were friendly and didn't make every convo about being trans. They seemed like a good one! They even helped me get some primo gear, and we had fun playing together, so I didn't rock the boat. I'm not here to cause trouble, I just wanna play vidya.
Their reason was they were a "kinkster," and they claim to wear a steel collar 24/7 IRL. Not just that, but they're a "performer" with a stage name (stripping? drag? camgirl? god only knows.) I have non-trans friends who are kinky weirdos, so again, letting it slide...then come to find out later that same night they were divorced about 6 months ago and their ex took the kids. Now they live kink 24/7 even though they hate not being able to be "mom" and miss their children.
So while they do manage to do something other than discuss how trans they are 24/7, it's disappointing but not surprising that they're the same ol' troon as the rest of them. One could hope they'd stop being so kinky all the time and stop being weird enough that their ex would let them see their kids again and they wouldn't traumatize them, but...y'know. Optimism.
