Edit: I just spent 45 minutes going through his feed and there is ZERO mention of being a parent. Either it's a fetish fantasy or the kid he suckled doesn't belong to him.

Late reply, but I actually once had a class that went into this from a social psych standpoint. Effectively, there is one answer to why Yaniv is fine but Dolezal is not, and it's this: people say so. Practically no one on Earth thinks Dolezal is a true and honest black woman, especially not black people. As long as black people don't accept white people putting on bad blackface and claiming to be black, they aren't by any metric. People, particularly women in English-speaking countries, let trans women identify as women, therefore they're accepted by some decent percentage as the same as cis women, so they get counted. Another right-now LGBT example is "bisexual lesbians". As long as actual lesbians tell people that concept is fucking stupid, the other group can stamp their feet and claim their "dykehood" all they want, but they won't be lesbians in anyone's eyes but their own.
TL;DR: If women put their feet down on this, even if just in regard to AGPs, it would be considered far more fringe than it is now.

There's a huge gap between "transwomen should be allowed to live as women as long as they're not hurting anyone" and "transwomen are actually women."
Almost nobody I know buys the latter, but that's the hill the troons decided to die on. If they keep pushing it, we'll push back.

If I say it, that means it true at work here. There's a process to induce lactation in males and it involves drugs, sure. IIRC though the one time this was done in a media covered instance the, also troon, who was attempting it did not produce enough to manage to properly feed the baby. I don't see a baby being too keen on randomly sucking on a nipple and getting nothing, either. They'd throw a fit for a proper meal. If you think women get told off for breastfeeding in public when they have the proper equipment and the right to do so, imagine a man trying it. Someone would be extremely pissed. . Agreed. The key is the ambiguity. Soundbytes don't really have a lot of space for exceptions and clauses. The mantra, the public statement, is "trans women are women/trans men are men". Even if this is code for 90% of allies for "sure, as long as you're not involving me in your fetishes or flashing people in public or expecting guaranteed sex with me, you try your best to pass/stealth, and you keep to yourself, then whatever", there's enough wiggle room to just interpret it as a blanket acceptance and equivalency under all circumstances.
The only people I've seen who buy the latter are other trans/NB people who are in deep. I've even talked to some MTF/FTMs who don't buy into the whole thing. I've noticed if you push nicely, most cis LGB people have deep reservations about the whole thing. They just don't want to be labelled as a TERF because TERF in common lefty parlance = "I want trans people to commit/die/be arrested/have no human rights", which is much more serious of a stance to align yourself with than "I think that 16 year olds shouldn't be on poorly researched hormone treatment" or "I don't think you should be forced to have sex with someone whose genitals you're not into" or even "I think you should be diagnosed professionally with something before you have essential organs removed", which is where your average ally liberal/non-trans lefty probably lies. If only there was more education on the subject, more gray areas, and it wasn't a game of "you're 100% with us or you're against us".

Dolezal was actually what peaked me*. Years later and I still have yet to hear a good argument for why Caitlyn Jenner is a woman but Rachel Dolezal isn't black. The answers you'll get make no damn sense and are tremendously ideologically inconsistent.
And again, if you're talking to someone who is dead set on not considering the issue because Right Side of History, it won't be enough to make them do much more than shut down and tell you to shut up. But it is a great way to get the less-dogmatic people to pause for a moment and actually think about it.

Despite being a generic annoying woke in college, the tranny stuff never quite made sense to me (probably due in part to also being an annoying dyke), but TWAW was already cool lefty doctrine (and this was before the current troon fever pitch). I remember arguing about it with my college roommate when the Dolezal story dropped and both of us coming to an uneasy agreement that transgender somehow just "felt different" from transracial, but that neither of us could put our finger on what that difference that made the former ok was. I never brought it up again, despite the fact that we're still good buds, since he's remains woke AF and, well... I'm here.
Coincidentally, another college friend of ours, a sterling example of AGP, is finally trooning out, much to my grim entertainment (I fucking KNEW it!). Surprisingly, my old roommate has been as studiously avoiding pleas for muh validation as I have. Maybe I'm too, but I do believe that if you have any amount of intellectual honesty, once you see this tranny shit for what it is, the door can't be shut again.
