Well, it's certainly is distracting, though. But that's current-year politics for ya.It's not even a butch haircut. If she had a shaved head, it would be fine. That "thing" is clown hair...
You know, Disney could have gone with this era of the Republic: https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Pius_Dea_Crusades
Apparently about 12,000 years before episode 4, the Republic went full 40k (they literally use cathedral spaceships!) and started genociding alien species on the rim worlds.
Wouldn't Disney be all over this shit? A democratic institution gets taken over by religious xenophobes and only a diverse group of people can stop them. It fits their worldview to a tee. The only thing that stops this is their lack of knowledge about Star Wars and that time period being too far away to connect to the films.
I've always been pretty interested in the Pius Dea era while knowing full well any adaptation of it even before Disney would've been the most heavy handed shit ever. Lucas already had his 'subtle' jabs at Bush and co. in the the Prequels but Disney would probably just turn it into Christian Nation with laser swords.Haram! Yes, this was one of the first designs for Mon Mothma.
The Pius Dea era was some based lore.

Cathedral ships bringing purifying fury down upon impure xenos and the filthy Hutts. While the majority of regular aliens didn't deserve this, for Hutts it was kind of karmic in a way considering these assholes ruled the galaxy and went on their own chosen wars several centuries before, including against humans, enslaving or killing any who they came across. Honestly it would probably be more up Disney's alley, especially when considering their hatred of aliens, but like you said, these Disney fuckers don't know squat, and even less about scifi or fantasy material to copy from. And even if they did adapt it, I'm sure they wouldn't even have a competent writer and would even remove the villainous "goddess" responsible for this since the "Force is Female" and we can't have a female villain cause so much misery for no reason. Yes, the Pius Dea cult was part of a grand plan by a wicked 'Goddess' who, if you've read SW's Cult Encounters or my shitposts covering it, should feel familiar.
They can't tell the difference between the two. Do you think those leftist shills would even bother differentiating between two flavors of right-wing Christianity? The left wants them both dead, they're only pretending to reach out to them to get Catholics and Protestants to vote for them.If Disney thinks they can get those sweet sweet communist and atheist shekels, it is guaranteed LusasFilm will make Pius Dea devout Christian. Question is whether they will be Space Catholic or Space Protestant.
Case in point being Christian Nation, which is an unintentionally hilarious read written by someone who clearly does not know the difference between the two but also not really a subject for this thread. But yeah, Pius Dea would probably just end up being a knock off of the 40K Imperium aka the space catholic nazis aesthetically. With jabs at Evangelicals and also a lot of colonial guilt given the expansionist humanocentric nature of Pius Dea.They can't tell the difference between the two. But if I'm to choose, they'll probably choose Space Catholic, because bashing Catholicism has been a proud Hollywood tradition for decades. They're more meme-worthy and easier to make fun of in the eyes of the left.
Bashing Catholicism had been the thing ever since Luther nailed his shitpost to a church door. Major points to Catholics and Orthodoxs is they go above and beyond in pastiche compared to the Protestants. But if I'm to choose, they'll probably choose Space Catholic, because bashing Catholicism has been a proud Hollywood tradition for decades. A friend in a discord showed me what has to be one of the worst examples of tracing I have ever seen.
Is he an anti comicsgate sperg on top of making Greg Land look like Jack KirbySalvador Larocca is a piece of shit and continues to prove that Disney only hires from the bottom of the barrel.
Linked fire is there, it's a modification. Does heavy damage but harder to aim.I've been playing SW Squadrons (the gameplay is actually pretty fun and reminiscent of the old X-Wing/TIE Fighter games cept for a few gripes I have) and the story mode is just pathetically laughable. All the main characters are REPRESENTATIONS OF DIVERSITY and the pilot cosmetics are god awful. You have every shade of brown represented but the Rebel white guy pilot looks like some moms basement NEET that has never seen sunshine.
Also, Disney has an outright inability to handle Imperial characters with any sort of nuance. It's extremely juvenile how they hammer smash you in the face with EMPIRE BAD, CHARACTER MOTIVATIONS ONLY MATTER WHEN ITS DEFECTORS OR REBELS. Also, playing the story/tutorial, you will very quickly see that White Males are a minority, almost none in sight except sometimes in the background. It sticks out a LOT.
The good thing is the garbage story is only a glorified tutorial mode, the actual game and game mechanics are fun, they take some tweaking though to get the controls juuuust right. I wish they didn't take out linked fire and linked torpedos, the in-vehicle repair button is fucking retarded and immersion breaking, but the modern day gamer probably couldn't handle a game that punishes you for being shit at it. Overall though I think the game has a lot of potential, especially if they expand it from 5v5 and add in more vehicles.

Dual proton torpedoes aren't...
That sounds like the character creation system from ME:Andromeda at launch. Bioware added a "light" skin tone with the third or fourth patch that made the "white" skin as white as a sheet of paper so your character would look like if (s)he had some kind of disease. All the main characters are REPRESENTATIONS OF DIVERSITY and the pilot cosmetics are god awful. They have a catholic swiss guard vibe. I wonder if the people at Lucasfilm at the time thought that the Emperor was a religious figure as well as a political one? Here though we have the earliest concepts for the scouts on Endor by McQuarrie. These designs would go unused but would inspire the designs for the Emperor's Royal Guards.

Disgusting of course, but not shocked in the least. Is the one one white male character "dumb" or buffonish?I've been playing SW Squadrons (the gameplay is actually pretty fun and reminiscent of the old X-Wing/TIE Fighter games cept for a few gripes I have) and the story mode is just pathetically laughable.
