Wow. The more that's uncovered about Albert, the sadder the whole thing gets.

I feel like Albert's legacy/history could be worthy of a 'Down the Rabbit Hole' episode, but idk if Frederik Knudsen would have much luck trying to get the objective truth about Catswhisker, Kit & Kayboodle being done by the same artist as Gene Catlow, etc., considering how clamped down -and possibly in denial- Albert's surviving friends are about his life, despite everything being an open secret.

I think I've said it before in another thread, but we all gotta be fucked up on some level to be a furry, it's like a minimal requirement. It doesn't make what happened with him any less sad though

It would also be hard to dig up sources or information because so much of this shit happened more than a decade ago. There's still so many unanswered questions.

For example the picture that Richard KatEllis posted of himself and Shirlee

Who the fuck were those people then?

I would surmise the pictures of Catswhisker could easily be a relative or even an ex. As for Shirlee and Kat, we’ll never know. A found photo? Something plucked from a now defunct website so that imagesearch turns up nothing? If I remember correctly wasn’t that photo posted in the late 90s? It’s a fascinating mystery. What parts of Albert’s life outside of furry were even the truth or things he made up?

To me,the most weirdly disgusting thing about the story isn't the three way incest(though it still rustles my jimmies). No,it's his art style (God rest his soul) that really grinds my gears. You can tell he was a classic furry because of how his artworks look so much like some bootleg disney comics or some obscure funnypage strip with genitals glued on for safe measures. And combine that with the Step-Oedipus complex and the eternal attraction to carnal deeds just really bonks me up! Though on another note, hope for the best for his family and whatever they will do with his posthumous work.

It used to drive me nuts how he always drew that same sex face with the stupid lolling tongue. And how everyone just goes in dry when it comes to anal. Sometimes it's the little things.

This thread is...how do I say it? One of the more bizarre things I ever read. I guess this is what I get for looking up an artist I never even liked but was aware of for who knows what reason back in the early oughts and for some reason just remembered now. Well, his comics may not have been fascinating but his, ahem, post-mortem backstory sure is? Seems unlikely we will ever get the truth out here but man would I like to know more. The house, the multiple projected personalities, the cover up for reputations sake. Its so utterly and bizarrely fascinating.

What goes through somebody’s head that makes them not only imagine this shit, but decided to actively invest large amounts of time and effort in to making it an actual thing?

Mental issues can get pretty bad. People can easily live in a fantasy world of their own making. Autism can cause people to live in a fantasy world. Throw in traumatic issues like the death of a loved one on top of autism and it could trigger someone's mental issues to sky rocket. For all we know the woman was Catswhisker died, possibly in a very horrible way, and that kicked this off. Considering the stories of Temple having a house full of computers, everything to do with the comics, I don't think it's hard stretch to think he was a highly functional autistic with other mental issues that fed into the fantasy world.

Basically this. It's pretty obvious the man had severe issues though was personable enough to get a circle of friends who clearly were in the know but were decent enough to keep his secrets hidden.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I'd love to know all the secrets lurking deep within because I'm a fucking lousy drama whore, but we might just be dealing with a sad individual who had a tragic death.

And even just from reading his comics over a decade ago, I could tell something was not right with him. Not even talking about K&K's sex stuff, but just the way characters acted and the way they were written screamed that the writer was not fully in touch with reality.

The Dewalts are just legitimately that capillary of normalcy in the furry fandom.
They're biological parents, male and female, whose kids all go by pseudonyms on the internet to protect them.
...'Fraid it's over for, AFAIK, already a year? Candy is now nonbinary transmasc: 1 2
There's even a separate twitter just for that somewhere, the tweet just sank and I don't remember the handle :\

Wow. Out of everyone in Furry I wouldn't have expected that from her. Always just seemed to want a normal family life, really.

And she's drawing that comic again. Huh.

That re-proposal thing is cute as hell. I love the Dewalts, they're a nice little family.

The furry lifestyle is really just one downhill struggle.

After what happened with XianJaguar I'm not even surprised anymore.

Being in the furry fandom seems like some kind of progressive disease. One day you're drawing cute animal characters and the next you're creating new genders and cleaning horse dildos in the kitchen sink.
