I see Terez is still around and still being annoying.
I completely forgot about this nobody, also the nobody still saying he will never get his job back. I'm fairly sure like almost everyone doesn't expect or even want him to go back to Funi, den of snakes and backstabbers.

I for one think it would be hilarious for him to get his job back at Funimation and then all the backstabbers get ejected.

But more seriously, what people want is for Vic to get his roles, and to be able to go to other, better dubbing studios like Viz, Sentai, and Netflix, or go more heavily into video game dubbing where his voice can still be used on his roles for games, and of course let him go to big cons and see his fans without psychopaths like Jennifer trying to run places out of business for hosting him, or Funimation threatening cons with sponsorships to keep him from being invited. The time when people wanted Vic to just be quietly allowed back into his old position and everyone go back to normal is long past, and Monica's nastiness can mostly be blamed for that.

And yes, Funimation has the rights to many of his roles now, but if Funimation loses, or enough skeletons come out, that may change rapidly. Especially considering the Japanese side is already looking to cut out localizers entirely.

I've been noticing on a few shows that Funimation has on their streaming services (Super Hxeros and Millionaire Detective, that I know of) have the Aniplex splash screen in addition to Funimation's. As far as I can tell the cast are Texas-area VAs.

Probably not a big deal, but maybe a evokes a little thunk.

Eh we said that about the funi leaks and nothing happened.

#funileaks were the #kickvic of the ISWV side. They were never really a huge deal, but a dedicated group of people hated Funimation so much that they made it trend into a big deal. Like kickvic, though, it couldn't last, and unlike kickvic there was no one on the inside to use it to destroy Funimation. If we can get evidence of the juicy stuff like Sabat's casting couch or the VAs' hatred of their fans, though, that's a different matter entirely. And Japan's side does indeed look to be cutting out all localization companies already. If that continues, Funimation may be bumped off organically.

So I finally got around to Geekdom's interview with Vollmer and here's a couple observations I made:

I don't know if she was ever part of Sabat's casting couch sessions, but I definitely don't get an anti-Sabat vibe from her. She seems to guinuinely like the guy. They go way back, knew each other in college.

I think Sabat may have been a cool, nerdy guy who got some power, money, and notoriety and became a weasel.

She was never told her role would be going to Monica, she learned about it after the fact. Said she was given no real reason for the change; however she did say that she had discussed it with Sabat and he seemed pissed about the change too. She said she wasn't happy about it at the time but has since moved on and accepted it.

It was touched on by a couple posters but never really explained, but Funimation contacted her to come back for Battle of Gods and she asked if they could pay for her trip from New Orleans to Dallas. They then stopped contacting her. Makes me wonder if she woulda won back her role from Monica if she woulda made it into Battle of Gods. Kinda surprised me that when she told Geekdom about them dropping her after that question, he replied back with something to the effect of, "Not surprising". And she most likely would have made the trip on her own with no support, too.

Like @EriMin said, and like Vic can attest, Sabat is two-faced. He probably acted like he was pissed off to Vollmer's face while having hand-picked Monica and told Funimation not to contact Tiffany behind her back. Just like he told Vic he was on Vic's side and never believed the rumors while being the source of those rumors from the start. It sounds to me like Funimation heard the tiniest sound of Tiffany wanting more money and immediately dropped her. Considering they tried to cut Vic out of the Broly movie with the argument that he was in LA and 'couldn't possibly' do the part, they probably were just looking for an excuse to drop her.

This reminded me of another observation I forgot to put in my post:

She claimed that she held some kinda meeting with other voice actors about pay issues and basically campaigned for better pay, and by the next year they were getting better pay. Makes me wanna know the time frame of this mini-campaign, especially in relation to her losing her role.

I was under the impression that was around the time they were dubbing GT. Not sure why I thought that.

Even tho it is a major thunk, I'm sure it was earlier on than Kai, more toward the beginning or middle of her tenure; I feel like if she thought that it was connected to her dismissal, she woulda let that be known. But idk, maybe it is connected and she either doesn't think so, doesn't wanna admit it, or doesn't wanna let on that she thinks so due to being blacklisted down the road. This is all speculation of course on my part.

Tiffany's last appearance as bulma was the ds dragon ball origins 2 game, but Vic mentioned during his panel at matsuri he done voice acting for 4 different games during the mid 00s (05 or 06ish during the tenkaichi series?) But since bulma usually appear in the character encyclopedia or other sections of the game she didn't have to voice act in bulk for games spanning out 4 games like vic.

Tiffany's story of being invited to reprise bulma just to get ignored later on sounds familiar with saban mass inviting all the rangers for the super megaforce crossover for the legendary battle but wouldn't pay for their airflights to New Zealand/ reneged last minute.

Another Vic story (it's actually a Vic nothingburger...). Vic's crimes this time: Yelling at the christian protesters (?) and saying "hi, girl" to a friend of the op. Also, op looks exactly like you'd expect them to.

Sorry, didn't @EriMin say she was slightly out of frame in that video and was his handler at that con? Did Jade just steal Erimin's story to try to make Vic look bad? On a video where Vic is doing nothing more than trying to talk reason to extremely unreasonable people and defending anime fans?

Has Jade perhaps considered that it's not 'unhinged' energy but 'happy'? Maybe he's just energetic and happy because he's interacting with his fans and having fun, not wallowing in self-loathing like all her tumblr friends do?

Honestly it just seems like she wanted to hop in with a Vic story of how bad he was like everyone else, but didn't have anything bad to share and didn't get the message that everyone else has been making up fiction.

It's hilarious how so many americans think being atheist somehow equates with hating religious people.
KVers like to point out that Vic did religious panels as if it would suddenly make anyone who isn't a christian hates him.
Breaking news: Nobody cares, Vic could sing hallelujah at every con if he wanted to, not a single fuck would be given.
