All hair dressers refuse to do what clients want sometimes, mainly do their skills or safety. For example complex hair dyes can very wrong if you don't have the experience or training. Not only can the result look just awful, worst case you give chemical burns to your client or their hair falls off. More generally hair and/or scalp health can terminate if something is possible or safe, even some cuts. So it can be ethical to refuse to do what is being asked but there are hairdressers that think they are just better. They are the artist and their clients are blessed with having someone with great taste make these decisions for them. These definitely exist but luckily tend to grow up or leave the industry because they can't keep clients. A good hairdresser will talk you if they think what you are asking won't look good to make sure you actually want that but ultimately will follow you wishes as long as it's possible and safe.

I used to be puzzled by that fact, but eventually it hit me. MTFs are huge creeps because they see women as idealized objects. FTMs can be far worse because they see women as inherently inferior to men.

After reading that FTM troon ranting in r/periods, then the FTM on Facebook on what it’s like to date a FTM, I have no sympathy for them, nor are they any less insane or narcissistic than the MTFs troons.
