This is just based off of my observations in the subforum, but from what I can tell, the kind of Tumblr culture she embraces skews young and tends to be very skeptical of anyone who's too old and trying to befriend them. (I don't blame them! There are plenty of creepers around.) I suspect she claims to be 22 because it's about the youngest she can reasonably claim to be; if she could get away with calling herself 18 or 19, to get more access to younger kids who will put up with her shit and think she's cute, I'm sure she would.

In the US you can stay under your parent's insurance until you're 26. I recall something about special circumstances extending until age 28, but I might be pulling that out of my ass.
