Maybe for some. In this instance I think Ralph was gathering dirt. He didn't tell her he was filming until he was already in her and she was facing away. She noticed the phone and she asked what it was for, he grunted something along the lines of "I'm filming ya." He knew she would be too awkward/self conscious to freak out and hop off and demand he stop recording. Plus it was already to late, she was on cam riding the gunt. I really think this was some heinous scumbaggery on Ethan's part, and I don't blame ppl for wondering about legal implications.

If he was a decent guy, you know, hard working, reliable, funny, kind to his fam, his girl would just shove it aside and get on. No one who wants to have a functioning sex life is above overlooking a few flaws. Or a lot of flaws. Or some pretty big ones, if you really do care for the person. Plenty of tubsters get laid. You can do a lot with dim lighting, a positive mental attitude and a good visual imagination.

If he was slender, the whole thing would still be seedy and vaguely dehumanising. That is truly what‘s repulsive here. It’s so dirty and not in a good way. It’s just a middle aged failed man using the body of a teenage addict as a semen receptable. It’s the IRL enactment of the movie shorthand for sleaze.
