For much as Salem has with her Legion of Retards, it’s strange that the White Fang or Faunus supporters in secret didn’t have a hat to throw in with Salem promising them rights to be treated like equals alongside Humanity but considering how unpopular the Faunus / White Fang has been since their inception;it ain’t much of a surprise to see them quietly pushed in the back after Adam got shish kabobed by Yellowjacket.
That's largely from how Russia's core population was concentrated in the Western areas with the East having raiders and savages. All we see of Vale's continent points to most of it being green.

Actual answer: Monty's ketchup map just happened to work out like that, and there are only four main elements in the Earth/Wind/Water/Fire dynamic. Somebody had to get shortchanged.

Honestly I think his idea of how to create a map was a good one, it's just that he had to divide it into 4 nations (because anime tropes) which is causing the problem.

Should've just went the meme route & made it a land where water is Vodka, everyone rides & are friends with Bear Grimm & has a Kalishnakov named Sasha.
RWBY’s political worldbuilding is particularly shit. I’m most disappointed how shallow a lot of it is, particularly in Raven’s bandit tribe being as generic as possible and not, you know, a tribe with a unique culture.

I said it earlier, but it has to be repeated with this talk about politics about how a season that is built on an election is fundamentally unimportant and would have changed nothing had it all gone to plan. I get that its just "Orange man bad" pandering crap, but the election didn't fucking matter because the position on "the council" (whatever they do) has effectively no power since apparently Ironwood holds two seats (however that works) and more or less has near complete controls the government and military. Nothing would have changed had Hilary's awkward stand in actually won the election nor would it have mattered if Orange man's stand in won. It makes the entire plot built on this stupid election meaningless.
