For real tho i'm not sure Faith has left Ralph in that sense. I think maybe something happened in the family. A death in the family or an accident. Or maybe her mother got cancer or something. It reads like that.
Possible. But then again, even by her father's own admission, he and Faith stayed in touch. If something serious happened, he could've just called/texted her, you don't need social media for that.

My opinion is that she found out about shit like the Healstream and whatnot. I don't think she ever looked any further into Ethan other than knowing that he ran some kind of podcast.
She said she found out about him after watching a reupload of the Bouldergate stream, so yea. Her first impression of Ralph was him at his height. She probably didn't realize just how far he'd fallen since then.

You'll note that the Bouldergate stream also didn't have anything politically problematic for a California coastal teen girl who's into BLM and progressivism and such rot.

Well it's a bit late but I did end up finding the runaway Tweets that she deleted:

She blames her dad for why she left that he was "abusive", I'm not sure how much of this is true or just teen bullshit but I'll let people decide that for themselves. I personally think it's BS and was just mining for sympathy, especially since she deleted these. She probably realized that she was acting dumb and probably missed her brothers and her mother.
So is he an oppressive tyrant or a great dad? Make up your mind, Faith.

It's a teenage girl. They're all like this towards their dads at some point.

The ones that don't grow out of it grow into being strippers and camgirls.

But, even if that isn't the case, I agree with you - with the caveat that she will be done with him once she actually gets home. She may hate her dad due to being (from reading the deleted tweets Gothos posted) the kind of teenage girl who doesn't want to be held to any kind of accountability, but her mom will definitely get her to rethink being with Ethan once she can talk to her daughter in-person.

Don't think for a second that her dad hasn't been showing his wife just what the fuck Ethan's like. I'd bet money that her mom saw some shit that got sent Mr. Vickers' way, or that he saw doing his own research, and contacted Faith herself. The trick about the good-cop/bad-cop routine is that they're both cops.

Personally I would think Faith was well aware of what the Killstream is and what Ralph does. She'd been talking to him for a while. Teenage girls don't really care about stuff like that, they can change a lot in a short time if they meet a guy they think they have a future with. I remember my sister at a similar age going radical vegan just to make her boyfriend love her, then dropping it as soon as they split.

No, I think Faith has been trying to push the affair into a more serious relationship. Teenagers often do that because of their hormones and shit. We know she has been showing Ralph baby videos and hinting strongly at her desire to be a mother. Ralph sees her as teen pussy, nothing more. She probably pushed a bit too far one day, Ralph exploded in a fit of rage, said some horrible shit, and she left upset.

If her sudden need to be with her family is related to Ralph - and it's likely it is - then to me it reads like a teenage girl who's just had a bad breakup and needs love and validation from her parents.

When the Faith Gunt story gets made into a Hallmark movie two questions:
  1. Movie title?
  2. Who plays Ralph?
All the elements are there, a troubled girl trying to find her place in the word. An older man who seems to have all the answers. The hard lesson that some people just want to take advantage of others. And the moral that you can always count on family.

You're probably spot on, but I still think that whatever the case may be for the initial sour turn in their "relationship", her mom getting in contact with her is where I'd put my money at for being the final push she needed to go home and think things over.

With that said, a moment ago I had an epiphany. A few people at the time balked at her dad interacting with Ethan the way he did over Twitter, and a fair whack of people (including myself) thought it was rather stupid for him to instigate an argument in such a public space with Ralph. I mulled over this part of one of my recent posts:

Don't think for a second that her dad hasn't been showing his wife just what the fuck Ethan's like. I'd bet money that her mom saw some shit that got sent Mr. Vickers' way, or that he saw doing his own research, and contacted Faith herself. and I now wonder if Faith's dad did that intentionally so that he'd have something to prove to her mom that Ethan's a piece of shit.

I get that, it's just she jumps from one extreme to the other like it's nothing. Would she really call him "a great dad" only weeks after he allegedly reported her to the police for theft? Either she's full of shit or she's trying to patch things up with her family, because (for whatever reason) she can't stand Ralph anymore and wants to come home.

Seriously, this is self-explanatory, even if she is a bit of a potato. Even tards are hormonal during puberty.

Have you ever met a teenage girl? It's not uncommon for some to act like that.

For one, this is a fucking Lifetime move. Here are my answers.

1. Home and Faith
2. I'm tempted to say Rob Lowe in a fat suit. He did a marvelous job portraying Drew Peterson in the lifetime move. I think Jack Black, now that he's older and grey haired would bring the perfect energy to a Ralph display as well. Just so long as Louie Anderson puts on a dress and plays Ralph's mom I'll be happy.

After less than a day of This Week in Nectar going on Spotify, Dick announces a new show with Boogie2988. Coincidence? Or did Dick get a late night phone call from Ralph last night?
