She's sick, really really sick, but I think she also like the attention that she gets form it. Or she wouldn't put up stuff like this.

And that's really sad because I don't think she would want to get help, because she would think she wouldn't get any attention any more. It must really suck for her family to watch her slowly killing herself.
 
Okay, so let's not give her what she wants here then? I for one am done with this thread. Nothing good will come out of giving this girl attention for it. Hopefully someone will step in and help her, but a thread won't do that.
 
Watching someone kill them self slowly with a diet of attention seeking anxiety. They look like a waif. A walking corpse. It is just sad to watch and wonder if they realize what they are doing to themselves, and why. Just imagine waking in the morning sick and weak with brittle, thin bones cracking as you roll over and struggle out of bed, and wafting your way through your day knowing you are dying, and not caring, because you are finally noticed. This makes me sad as hell.
 
There is something profoundly depressing about the combination of extraordinary willpower, which would be admirable or even heroic if put toward a worthwhile goal, and the miserable waste of life.

Unlike the fakes with imaginary diagnoses du jour, these people are genuinely sick.
 
She has tons of pictures from Nickelodeon shows on her tumblr and twitter. I guess she's nostalgic for her childhood, before she became a warier for Skealtin Nation. She's more of a sad skeleton than a spooky skeleton if you ask me.

I would say that anorexia is the opposite of somebody failing to fight an addiction
Instead of having not enough willpower to enact a good decision it is having an extremely powerful will directed in a bad decision
She definitely could do great things with her life if she were to apply this effort to a better goal
 
This is quite depressing, but the fact that she realizes that she has problems and is most likely working on them as best as one can in her state is evident in the video linked, i do not feel like a thread on this girl is necessary.

Besides the eating disorder and mental health problems she honestly seems like a normal person her age, very upbeat and optimistic.

Idk she just seems really positive and she isn't doing anything truly out of the ordinary besides having an eating disorder. She isn't an otherkin crazy, she isn't some stupid transtrender, she's not someone pretending to have mental issues or any of that noise that we usually see from tumblr- she's just some girl with problems on the internet who really loves anime from what i can tell.

Hey, ashley if you are reading this and are currently working to better yourself on your eating disorder, i am very proud of you. Keep trying! You can climb that mountain!

Not exactly. Disordered eating in general has less to do with willpower and more (a lot more) to do with compulsions. It's not that the anorexic person wants to eat but endures going without to lose weight, it's that they come to associate food with their extreme phobia of gaining weight/becoming fat/losing control. Food thereby becomes a source of great anxiety for them, and they instinctively move away from that anxiety by declining food. The sensation of hunger confirms for them that they've moved away from the thing they fear, which relieves their crushing anxiety and makes them feel (psychologically) better for a little while.

TL;DR - People with anorexia don't "choose" to go without food any more than people with arachnophobia "choose" to run away from big hairy spiders. It's a psychological compulsion that needs a lot more than willpower to overcome, and it should be taken as seriously as any other life-impacting mental condition.
 
When I originally saw these pictures without knowing the order they were supposed to be in, I thought she had overcome anorexia, and I felt good for a second.

I'm too optimistic, I suppose. Ugh...

I recognize her from /cow/, even if she did try to get help, it would be too late, as anorexia would cause the body to reject any food being eaten.
What makes her seem that looking like a spoopy skeleton is '2cool4tumblr'?

No, he's talking about refeeding syndrome. Refeeding syndrome makes it hard to start eating normally again off the bat, but she's not completely fucked.

I would worry more that she's in this state and there's no legal recourse to strap her to a bed and force feed her.

Since we can't legally force her to get better, is there hope that there are people in real life that want to help her or is she always at home being a skeleton?
if it's the latter than she's fucked. and since she chose this obvious deadly choice I won't be able to feel anything but pity for her.

She can't get any treatment until she comes in contact with a medical provider, who will then file commitment papers.

I say will because, that is absolutely the worst case of anorexia I have ever seen and she is ready to die at any moment.
