To this day I don't know what WWI was about. Franz Ferdinand died, there were trenches, Germany had pointy helmets, ???, the end. And I'm pretty sure I learned all three of those points outside of school. I honestly might have never even had a WWI class. I wasn't a good student, but I definitely remembering learning about Korea and Vietnam and whatever, but never WWI.

And like everyone else says, my public school telling of WW2 was 90% holocaust, 10% nukes. I'm old enough that the narrative was War Bad rather than Whitey Bad, but the curriculum is the exact same.
That's depressing. WWI is at the root of current day conflict in the Middle East. Here's a documentary that explains the basics:
That's a bit of an overstatement. Japan isn't racist, they're nationalist. "Racism" is irrational hatred, is it not?

Not many, because the japanese aren't the kind of shitty people to use it for personal gain for the rest of time.
As for the rest, we raped them at least as much as they raped others, and then we dropped nukes on them.
Then there's people like Guy Galbadon who, having lived with a Japanese family as a child
was a United States Marine who, at age 18, captured or persuaded to surrender over 1,300 Japanese soldiers and civilians during the battles for Saipan and Tinian islands in 1944 during World War II.
Sad that few people remember the amazing things ordinary people did.

I am absolutely stunned, I just can't believe this is a thing. What the fuck? Also what is with the retweet to like ratio?

I'm sure Twitter like the other tech giants are actively controlling trending, and views. They banned Donald Trump Jr and deleted the Presidents tweet. You think they wouldn't manipulate everything else they had in their toolbox? On top of that you have random accounts and sometimes non-profits actively running interference.

Comparing singing in church to chanting in a mob is pretty edgy, i'll give you that.
:neckbeard:
But seriously, Clown World Ideology of today is a secular religion. Yeah, no shit.

Nuking Japan twice maybe wasn't the best idea. It shook some sense into Japan and they dropped their dumbass bullshitto shtick, but Soviets realized that while USA liked their nukes as bargaining chips, they couldn't just drop them for every offense. So, Soviets made a lot of small, inoffensive moves over many years instead of one big mobilization, learning how to undermine the West without drawing attention. And here we are today...

People not understanding what escalation of force is, especially when proceeding to invoke technology to mitigate threats. While I doubt they're aiming for heads, this is how it goes. You know what your enemy can do, so you work to mitigate it, your enemy takes notice and changes tactics to stay efficient... ad naseum until one side is dead and in the ground. Welcome to Warfighting 101.

That aside, how do these people know what "dad-style" summer attire is? No doubt they'd hate their dads if they knew them.

Oh, nice. They brought in a bunch more feds?

And are in a power admin building? Are they using it as a makeshift hotel? Or might they just cut power to the neighborhood the next time Pantyfa starts up?

If true, the fact that Feds are dressing like normal people instead of dying their hair, getting a stupid haircut, dressing like CWC and gluing a gayphone to their faces means how awful at irregular warfare USA is. Don't even get me started about Iraq...

Where the fuck else would it be? You have assholes unable to make the logical leap that the building is in Portland?! What kind of fucking people just type an address into their GPS and decide to go to a random city?

I need new swears. Maybe go learn German since it sounds angry no matter what you say.

I figure there were always more Feds as a "cavalry" in case the courthouse got rushed. I would imagine that the courthouse was barricaded on the inside but pincer the attackers between two forces.

It is probably just an office building. I doubt they would cut the power since you might end up killing people unrelated to the protest.

Although it is odd that they decided to take over utility building.

Or some AntiFa asshole didn't pay their bill and are upset about their power being off.

Found a thread by a former coworker of Garret Foster:
It's 44 pages so I'm just going to copy paste some text:

He was stationed at Minot around 2011-2014, not the best Crew Chief but he had heart.

He was all about his wife, black chick and quadriplegic.

Truth be told, and I don't like talking ill of the dead, he wasn't a great Crew Chief at all.

I never rated on him but we were on the same shift together in the same section and AMU. So that in a sense makes him one of the Airmen I led. Back then I was a SSgt and he was an A1C.

Nice kid but he was kind of lazy and just couldn't quite figure out AF life.

One night I had to go back to his dorm room at 1am because he'd been cut back at 10pm but still had a tool out in his name that no one knew where it was.

I think he wound up getting kicked out for PT.

Talking about his muzzle awareness and general firearms handling:
I went from 2011 until 2017 without having a qual class on an A2 or M4.

Mentality was that they'd only send you through a qual class if you were going to the desert....and our BUFFs didn't go to the desert until 2017.

Last time he'd have shot a M16A2 was in basic.

This is by far the most epic thread I've ever created...holy shit

Like I said Foster, we all called him Sid because we had two Fosters, was a pretty meh crew chief but an all around nice guy. The kid did look like Sid from Ice Age.

He was all about his fiance even back then

Sid while he ended the way he did at least crewed BUFFs in Minot winters

Sid while he was never cut out for the AF wasn't an asshole, he just never should've been a Crew Chief. At least though he showed up and played even for a little bit.

I think PT got him, plus that was the era of sequestration which ousted people quick.

He had heart, especially for his fiance, in the end that's probably what killed him
TLDR, he was an unremarkable airman who got out for PT, nice enough guy with a big heart, was all about his fiancee. No significant weapons training.

Continuity of operations sites can be in unexpected places. Basically any Federal office building with some unused space can be tapped as a relocation site.

They think like a video game plot. The Feds are the bosses, and the courthouse was the final level. It's not fair that there are other Feds they didn't know about, in another building. That's bullshit padding, it's just the same quest copy-pasted into another area. Totally not worth the season pass.
