Yep. I've been liberal my whole life. They lost me on the troon madness and all whites are bad shit. Even if they hadn't, if it ever really does devolve into a race war, I'd be a fucking idiot to side with the people who want to oppress me. I'm not such a saint that I'm willing to be someone else's slave to make amends for what my ancestors may or may not have done. I'm all for equality, but I'm not in favor of simply putting whitey at the bottom of the totem pole. That's not progress, that's the same old shit with a new master. So, if you aren't going to make society better, I prefer the option where I get to enjoy my white privilege.

You're absolutely right. I was making the comparison to Kent State in showing how there hasn't been a serious massacre of demonstrators in US history. Some posters in this thread are/were suggesting that the MPs should or would use their military-grade weapons, M-16s and the like, on protesters they face, which is patently stupid. If they do that, and they won't, the consequences will result in vastly more deaths to come. These events aren't some video game.
