I'm going to reply to this a second time to add that these people don't get that 1) their local police aren't under the payroll of the federal government and 2) they can participate in who's representing their police forces at the local level if they'd just vote locally. I doubt any of them know there are any sort of ways to vote outside of the presidential election, though.

Enjoy it or try to fix it. The world is and has always been fucked. Its a hell of a ride when you realize it. First you get depressed.... then you get all activist-y (don't get stuck here. That's the worst part) . Eventually you realize its pretty fine anyway if you figure your own shit out.
