It's not the "Siobhan" that's the issue, it's the "Saoirse" ("Sean" to "Siobhan" makes a lot of sense actually. If he wasn't a total nutbar I'd actually take him more seriously in his transition for picking a name that's just the feminine version of his original one.)

Don't be skeptical. It happens far too often.

I have seen "trans-friendly" doctors prescribe HRT to obese, diabetic or otherwise completelly mentally unstable and/or autistic people. That last one is doubly important, because HRT can and will wreck people's mental state and make them exceedingly impulsive if they're not careful. If you look around in any troon community, you'll see them doctor shopping and asking for recommendations for doctors in their area that people already know will prescribe hormones with no questions asked to anyone who shows up complaining of dysphoria.
