A distraught influencer had a breakdown last week because the pandemic led to a drop in followers on her X-rated OnlyFans account.

Billie Beever, who has 113,000 Instagram fans and supports herself by posting adult content on the subscription website, cried as she revealed she can no longer pay her rent.

The 27-year-old charges $12.99-a-month for access to her pictures and makes extra through tips and requests - but jobless fans can no longer afford to follow her.

'Everyone on TV is always talking about how everybody has lost their jobs and people can't pay for anything anymore, but I'm losing subscribers on OnlyFans and that's my main source of income,' sobbed Billie in a now-removed TikTok video.

She continued: 'I can't pay my rent, I can't work. Even if I was to go back to work, what am I meant to do? Strip clubs are all closed, you can't even be close to somebody because of social distancing.

'I have nothing else going for me, I have no other talent. I've got nothing else. I can't dance, I can't sing, I can't do anything. I don't understand what I'm supposed to do. I just want everything to go back to normal so people can keep subscribing.'

Billie decided to archive the video from her TikTok profile after receiving abusive comments. She told Daily Mail Australia on Monday it was wrongly perceived.

'Things are still slow as a lot of my customers were let off their jobs, which is really the only people the news are speaking about and sort of the whole point of my video - to shed light on such a dark subject. I was just really upset when I made it and it was misinterpreted way more than I expected,' Billie explained.

The blonde admitted she joined adult platform OnlyFans after welcoming her first child in 2019. She said the flexibility suits her lifestyle as a stay-at-home mother.

'It was instantly a great way to bring in an income for myself and it is now my main source of income. I do still perform strip shows and dancing, but during this isolation period that isn't an option,' said Billie.

She revealed that the 'sl*t-shaming' and abuse she has received is all down to the stigma which is attached to the adult industry.

She said it affects her mental health and wants to change this by raising awareness and becoming an advocate for sex industry workers.

'I really want more people to understand and be aware that we do more than just taking a photo and uploading it. We have to find clients, marketing, advertising, we have to edit photos to meet certain criteria,' explained Billie.

'We have to continuously have content, we have to strain our bodies just like a labourer does, and people have the audacity to say that sex work isn't a real job? It's completely mind-blowing.'

She continued: 'I receive hate on a daily basis that I'm just a sl*t, a whore, and that I should be disgusted in myself. I love my job, I choose my own hours, I provide for my daughter, I allow what people can and cannot see, I am in control of my body.'
