Last I heard, GAMP just means attraction to shemales, though I suppose that's basically what you're saying.
I'm willing to grant that chasers are gay/bi if you're willing to grant that there's a difference between a gay guy who loves men/has no interest in shemales and a guy who loves shemales and has no interest in men who actually look like men. It could be two different kinds of gayness, if that would make you happy, but there's definitely a real difference there.

It's a paraphilia: a weird, out-of-nowhere kink that doesn't necessarily define the person's broader sexuality. Same thing as if you have, for example, a guy who's normally straight and attracted to women in general, but who's also sexually attracted to chairs. He's not suddenly chairsexual or bisexual for it. He's a straight guy with a paraphilia.
IMO, chasers fall into two categories:
- Heavily closeted gay guys. Those are the ones who chase shemales to suck and get fucked by them. They're attracted to men but can't/won't accept it so they go for the closest thing to a man that they deluded themselves into thinking is not a man. Those often don't really care about appearances and so end up as bottom feeders picking up those who gave up trying to get a woman to fuck them. Those guys are gay and will always be gay.
- Otherwise straight guys with a paraphilia towards dicks. Not men, just the dicks. Otherwise still fans of round asses, tits, delicate and feminine features, all that. Those are usually the ones with the dominating streak who chase after the really girly-looking troons out there. Once the troon in question gets the snip, though? These guys lose interest and go find another girlyboy, or go back to women.

Fun fact: In Viking societies you were expected to literally duel anyone who called you a nīðing. If you didn't it was taken as proof that you were one and you would become an outlaw, meaning that you would lose all your rights and could be killed without consequences.

If it's real, considering he was likely 13 when this grand realisation hit him, I suppose it's informative that it's not just girls going through puberty whose reaction to their changing body makes them want to be the other gender. Honestly the idea of a 14 year old TiM is straight up horrifying to me. That kid is going to be so fucked up, his breakdowns already give them impression he doesn't do great in irl social interactions, and trooning out surely isn't going to win him any friends at school (besides a few virtue-signallers at best). He'll probably be pushed further and further into internet hugboxes like Reddit for validation, and online troon culture is so hyper-sexualized he might just fall ass-first into getting groomed, or feel encouraged to share nudes.

The really impressive thing is that you can be sure those two would be the first to yell "CULTURAL APPROPRIATION" the moment they saw a white girl with a feather in her hair, but at the same time they're completely ignorant of the culture they're trying to appropriate.
The uncomfortable truth (for them, anyway) is that for a lot of pre-modern cultures a man's masculinity and virility was seen as a gift from the gods, or a representation of one's lifeforce. A man shouldn't squander their seed on another man, or letting it fall to the ground (masturbation). To do so was blasphemy against the gods and people took their gods seriously back then. This also applied to women: their fertility and femininity were their gifts. If a woman refused to attempt to exercise that fertility -- by courting other woman or living alone -- guess what happened? Blasphemy again!
Plus there were the usual societal issues. If you live in a little rural hamlet of 100 people and child mortality rates are upwards of 50%, a single woman not having the usual 8-15 kids could feasily affect the village's whole demographics. And since those societies were usually monogamous they needed a man to help have them all those kids so one bender refusing to have kids was also a problem for them.
And those, kids, are just some of the reasons why your gay/tranny ass wouldn't survive five seconds in the "multicultural and multiracial" society you think your ancestors had.
