I quite like Jess' take on this. From what she says it seems like Chloe does meet a number of flags for fictitious DID

Watching at x2 speed because the self righteous shit is hard to sit through but I found number 10 quite interesting - the involvement in community and self help groups. We already know Chloe was hanging around asking questions in DID groups prior to seeking a diagnosis. A lot of the points on the checklist could apply to Chloe but that one in particular made me laugh.
To summarise for those who can't be bothered to sit through the video, this is the checklist to identify malingerers with 'DID' taken from
this paper with paraphrased descriptions provided by Jess.
1. Differences in DES scores (scores over 60 are less likely to be genuine)
2. Reporting on Dissociative Symptoms (differences between the recall and description of those with 'true' amnesia and the pseudo group)
3. Time Conceptualisation
4. Personal Self Reference & Expression of Affect (a lack of consistency)
5. Expression of Very Strong Negative Affect (people with pseudo DID were able to strongly convey emotions)
6. Items Brought to The Consultation (bringing diagnostic papers, art, etc.)
7. Over-Disclosure
8. Over-Sharing (Jess states that 7 and 8 overlap - essentially providing graphic descriptions of abuse outside of 'I was physically/sexually/psychologically abused' is a sign of pseudo DID. 'Genuine' patients weren't willing to disclose details. Inconsistent medical history was also noted here by Jess.)
9. Presences of Guilt, Shame, and Suffering (the pseudo group didn't present feelings of guilt/shame appropriately.)
10. Involvement in Community & Self-Help Groups (Jess was shocked by this probably because she helped to launch this bullshit community.)
11. Presence of Post Traumatic Symptoms (lack of consistency with descriptions of traumatic symptoms)
12. Motivation for Consultation (in this particular study, 3 participants used fake DID to avoid responsibility, 2 participants had tied their identity to DID or trauma survivor groups, another developed symptoms after being in close proximity with someone else with DID, and others wanted to maintain long term disability benefits.)
ETA - She went on to state that eight points or more point to malingering. To be entirely fair, I respect Jess a little more for also stating that she believes some people are 'role playing' but she won't call anyone out because she can't say without knowing them. Don't worry Jess. We'll say it for you.
I'd like to immortalise the phrase 'commit blackface' - perhaps English is failing me but it reads as exquisite liberal satire.
