One failure of the land whale theory is that the location of their activity, if it was a Marchi wk, they would show up at their thread. Could be the Lawarchive user not getting much attention. Could be Kathryn Tewson seems like she has gotten to be a bit more colorful in her temperament, and by colorful, I mean a bit more expletives and slurs.

While Funimation is animation, no one is spending money right now so producers are cutting ties til the market is more positive. No more anime dubbing til the economy improves.

Or... VA's are getting cancelled from conventions for being toxic pieces of shit and conventions are going to be squeezed tighter than ever when they finally do come back. They won't be able to demand big guarantees and they might tell Sabat to fuck off because he sure as fuck won't look out for them.

Basically think of all the links in the Anime industry where someone can claim "act of God" and break that link. The whole system my be shattered and will need to be rebuilt by the time this is done.

When and if the market comes back they'll have some hard thinking to do about whether they should continue on with toxic scum who the fans hate, or go forward with a new roster of less problematic VAs without the baggage and sociopathy.
