It's probably this:
...
From the specs page at the link:
Max rider weight : Over 800 lbs (363 kgs)

My guess now having seen it, is that unlike high capacity wheelchairs and the like, it is only incidental to the construction and not specifically designed for people that heavy. They built it and then tested it to the breaking point, with 800 lbs being minus a safety margin rounded down.

Either that or designed to carry passengers.

Agreed. People in the 500lb+ weight region cannot generally even stand up on their own two feet without severe pain, let alone has the mobility to manipulate a foot-powered scooter around. An 800lb person is generally a bedbound near-death case, not looking for fun active ways to get around town. The only vehicle either group would ride is electric mobility scooters or wheelchairs.

I can't see it. Her balance has got to be poor & repeatedly lowering her leg while shifting her center of gravity in order to propel said scooter... hell, no.

Guys, I dunno if she's going to be OK! Look at that food scarcity! Her 100 self made fried chicken whatever must be gone. Quarantine is so hard, she went out in her car, didn't get her pot yesterday, and un-puffed scootied herself for a whole one leg movement! Girl is in danger!

"That scooter is a workout"?? Yeah, much like housecleaning is a workout for Amy Ramadan. Bet Lipids is gonna have to spend the next week in bed to "recover".
