Not even that. The purpose is to affirm. Bill's comics are written for an audience of one: himself. Every character exists to affirm him and his in-comic proxy (Stephie). If anyone else happens to agree, that's just another data point that he's the center of the universe.

Detransitioners don't exist in Billy's mind. If a child says they're trans, they are, if an adult says they were pressured into transitioning as a teen and has to deal with the consequences forever, they're just pawns of the "right wing" agenda.
 
I really appreciate the script here. Labelle's commentary on this "chimera process..." perhaps it has a deeper meaning? I wonder what the significance is. Regardless, another excellent piece by Labelle. May God have mercy on this poor experiment's soul.

Yeah, as far as I can tell the 'logic' goes, 'If someone says they're trans, they're trans. If they say they're no longer trans, then they were never trans to begin with.'

Rewriting the past to fit their agenda should be expected from people who call their birth names 'deadnames' and act like their old self doesn't exist for, say, prosecutorial purposes, though.

I couldn't point you to a specific example, but I'm pretty sure at least one troon has been referenced as trying it in a thread here. And it's long been an excuse for bad behaviour, eg Butts Nyburg defending their pedophilia as being a teenage edgelord.

Given that Labelle draws herself as basically identical to Stephie, aside from hair colour, that really is the implication of this strip. Let’s ignore for the moment the disturbing fact that Labelle considers looking like an 8-year-old to be “great results.”

I also like what a shit Stephie is in the latest strip. “You’re pretty!” “While I appreciate that you are trying to be nice, you really fucked up there. Do better.”

It's off-topic, so I'll just say they have a thread here, likely one in the GamerGate archives, and there was a lot of dissembling in their response, including downplaying that he was trying to groom his eight-year-old niece.

Back on topic, LaBelle scolding the world about every microaggression troons might ever get angry about only 'feeds into the idea' that all troons are thin-skinned assholes who demand the right to police everyone's language to make sure it never offends them.

Also, I hate that my spellcheck accepts 'microaggression'.

either sophie doesnt know what she herself is writing, how transitional medication works, or she really IS just ignoring the fact that shes writing abt her characters and is instead talking abt herself

on a side note IS stephie still on hormone blockers? plotholes or not the implication that sophie is telling kids that those are even a good idea, much less to STAY ON THEM for years and years is actually horribly dangerous
its much safer to undergo hrt than to stunt ur growth alltogether. but i mean sure irreversible damage to ur body aside, i suppose not aging past 10 WILL make it harder to tell ur gender so cheers there m8 if thats ur intention
